Gratitude

Hi There its me again after a long silence. I didn't realise how fast time has gone by, its been over two months since my last update. It has been such a tight schedule that I find difficult in sitting down to write. Its been an incredibly eventful and fulfilling time. New Zealand,Australia, Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore have been such a blessed time that we cannot help but give praise to the Lord for His amazing goodness. Our hearts are full of gratitude to the Lord for His grace and mercy. Though we face new challenges the Lord is still able to use us in the midst of our physical limitations, namely me. Apart from my ears giving me problems of hearing now my eyes is slowing me down with seeing, its double vision. We are thankful that the Lord is not limited in His dealings with our lives. We can still be a channel of His blessings in the midst of all our challenges.
It was good catching up with Debbie in Melbourne, Singapore on Logos Hope and now with us in London. Friends that the Lord gave us through the years have been incredibly invaluable. We continue to trust the Lord for what is ahead and grateful for what has passed us by. Looking back to 2011 we know we can only count our blessings. With the Lord its always blessings and nothing less. we need to let the blessings flow through us that others may enjoy that same blessings that the Lord has blessed us with. We hope you have been blessed as well. The blessings of the Lord is always holistic, its not just the spiritual but also the material, social, emotional and mental...which means he keeps us sane and happy. PTL. I pray that we will all be able to take that time and praise Him for His goodness and for all that He has done. If you have not been able to experience His grace and goodness you can always have a chat with the Lord. We want to thank many of you who have been standing with us all this time. May the Lord be with you always.

SPEAKS KNOWLEDGE AND SPEAKING LIFE

To Friends I Missed,

No matter where we turn we see people, people going places and doing things, others are just dreaming, thinking and wondering of lives wants, lost, joy and sadness. Much have gone through the lives of people all over the globe. In most cases when tragedy strikes or when loneliness creeps in then the individual begin to think about the purpose, meaning and reason for living. We would think this only happens to non-Christians and questions like these only comes to the mind of the unbeliever. Unfortunately believers alike asked the same questions even if they say "I KNOW" WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS AND WHAT JESUS PROMISED.....BUT... it seems like I only have an existence and not a life. This makes going to church and performing Christian duties and rituals a chore and a burden. The cliche "I KNOW" is a common one and yet the assurance is not firm and lack confidence.
Looking back to the last few months with the feedback that have been received after almost every meeting it does provoked new challenges to the life of any preacher, primarily me. Repeatedly men and women have said, "When you speak I felt life coming out of you or it touched my life, or it really brought life". The latest was in a bible school when someone said, "Most of the time we hear people speak knowledge here but you speak life". This cause me to ask myself, What do they mean? Thousands have heard the word being spoken week after week and maybe even day after day and yet it remains just "Knowledge". The word of God is the word of Life and Jesus is THE WORD and HE IS LIFE, that means the WORD SHOULD GIVE LIFE and not just knowledge. In preaching then I have to ask myself why are some giving just knowledge and some life? What do we have KNOWLEDGE OR LIFE? Do we share KNOWLEDGE OR DO WE SHARE LIFE? When knowledge is applied to daily living this is what some people called life, the word becoming flesh. The written word that becoming the living word.
That means it is for everyone of us to live out the word given to us through the scriptures so that become the living word and share the word of life to those around us. May the Lord help us by the indwelling Spirit to be totally obedient to the written word of truth. The visit to New Zealand brought about fresh challenges to our personal ministry. The Lord answering prayers and touching lives through weak vessels like us. Humbling, sobering and convicting. To Him be all praise, honour and glory.

FAITH REVEALED ......BEYOND FACEBOOK......

Hello People,

It is another occasion for updates and sharing what the Lord has been laying upon my heart as I continue to listen to Him. I have been encouraged by the many "GOOD THINGS" AND "GOOD WORDS" found on facebook and on the internet, and the Lord has used it in an amazing way for which I am deeply grateful. However as I sat down and contemplate on issues I realised that there are many whose faith are confined to facebook, emails and the confines of their comfort zone, it is never revealed and was never seen. Its known as my "PRIVATE FAITH". It is never seen or shared since it is a Private faith. This thought has challenged me to think about my own faith. Is it relevent? Is it worth having this faith (in the Lord Jesus) and living it? Is it worth sharing? In most cases I find myself and many Christians sharing their struggles with one another and finding difficulty is trying to share their faith. It seems that every challenge in life either shake our faith or strengthen it. I realised that in my conversation with many it does strengthen our faith and in some cases it created doubt and fear. My question then is what or where do I put my faith in? Is my faith base just in a set of beliefs or a belief system, or is my faith base on my walk and my trust in Jesus? A belief system or a set of beliefs has no foundation or reality. A belief system give us religion but believing in Christ gives us a relationship. A belief system can only reveal religiosity and not reality. What is real is Jesus. If we have not had a relationship with Jesus than there is no basis for faith and it cannot be revealed. What can and should be revealed is Christ in us and not a Christian belief in us. A revealed faith is revealing Christ and our relationship to Him, and this word "CHRIST" must be made flesh as we dwell amongst men and women so that they can see His glory and give praise to the Father as well as putting their trust in Him whom they have seen in and through our lives. This is such a great challenge to my soul and to my faith. My faith should be revealed so as to fulfill what Jesus said about you and I being "The Light of the World" and the Salt of the earth". It is not meant to be a hidden faith, not behind facebook, the internet or in the confines of our comfort zone. I must than "GO"....and make disciples of all nations and "BE A WITNESS" in Jerusalem, in Judea, in Samaria and to the Uttermost parts of the earth or to wherever the Lord send me. This is where I know I can say "I BELIEVE IN JESUS!!!" Of course the Lord does understand if our circumstances hinders us from doing so, otherwise we are really without much excuse. I know I don't have one. Do you my brothers and sisters? It is a challenge for me. Something for me to continually pray about and give myself to. He is merciful, gracious and slow to anger but I must not be stiff neck and put Him to the test. LORD LEAD ME.

SIMPLE TRUTH

Dear Praying Saints,

Very soon it will be time for us to have our next prayer-letter. I've just returned from Greenland with Bee Lee. It was a totally new experience for her and it is by far the best for me since I started visiting Greenland 6 years ago.

The Lord was gracious in looking into the details of our little needs, like having a toilet in the accommodation. We talked about it but decided to leave it to the Lord and again "Take delight in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). Its difficult to imagine people getting excited about a toilet but it was a blessing from the Lord.

On a more serious note, we were reminded of a continual need to preach the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Time and again we tried to share the "simple truth" of God's word by making it as practical and as relevant as we possibly can. The simple truth, simplifying it to layman terms, is easier understood than many theological and doctrinal slogans that we use frequently in our conversations with Christians and non-Christians alike. We always presume that what was shared is understood as it should be but in many cases it wasn't understood, probably only in part. My prayer is that the Lord will grant me the wisdom and the ability to speak the simple truth that hearers will understand, appreciate and take to heart.

It was an incredibly humbling experience when the Lord gave many His light, that they began to understand His word and responded to it in Greenland. Many have said, "Now I understand". It is the light of the Lord through His Spirit that their eyes and minds were opened. It was equally humbling when people expressed their disappointment when one meeting was cancelled and replaced with some activities, especially since it was the non-Christians who expressed it.

The 10 sessions in five days seemed to pass us by and the hunger among the participants in the camp remains. It is a real encouragement when the church was filled up to capacity both on Sunday morning and Sunday night. News about the meetings drew many others who came for the first time, and as faithful as the Lord is, many were ministered to by His Spirit. There were yet many more tears.

I have been convicted even more during this trip that I must not only preach the "Simple Truth" but must be committed to make sure that it is also a demonstration of the power of God's Spirit at work in the lives of those who hear. It is a challenge not to allow oneself to preach out of routine and professionalism but to be continually a channel of His great spiritual blessings. I have said to myself often and have also shared with many others that we must live Spirit-filled lives that we may become a Spirit empowered witness, preaching the simple truth with His great power. I know that this is a challenge for every one of us who preaches the word of God. I have repented many times for preaching in the flesh. Pray with me, dear saints, that the Lord will deliver us from having a profession and not a ministry. We want to see many inspired and not just informed. Lord help us to speak the simple truth in your power.

WHAT DO I REALLY STAND FOR

My Dearest Brothers & Sisters in the Lord,

Travelling and speaking to hundreds of people or even thousands of people through the years and in so many countries makes one more responsible than can ever be imagined. The thought of passing on the Word of Truth to people across the globe and not living up to it is an awesome thought. As I feed my soul with books written by Spirit-filled men and women, and as I look at the truth of Scripture I have to remind myself of taking in the whole counsel of God that I might be able to give the whole counsel of God; now that is a scary thought.

My heart was just pierced recently by the scriptures regarding lukewarmness and how the Lord is not impressed with and will not tolerate any of it at all (Rev 3:14-22). One of the things that I began to see more and more in my own life and in the lives of many across the globe is exactly lukewarmness, neither hot nor cold, trying to be active in church and yet spending more time than ever in the pursuit of earthly treasures and pleasures. This is not only among so called "ordinary Christians" in the church but also among so called "Ministry staff and missionaries". We are not exempted from the deception of the enemy consoling ourselves that we deserve the extras. On top of that everyone else is doing the same. It must be okay. We are so comfortable to be like everyone else and fail to realised that we are called to be like Christ and to represent Christ, which means we are to be different, in this rebellious world. Conforming to the world is an easy thing to do. We don't really need much effort or to struggle much with ourselves or with others, but to be really fired up for the Lord and to be like Him is something that most of us are struggling with.

So while we are seemingly on fire for God in all our activities, in reality, we are actually deceiving ourselves as we continue our every day life in hot pursuit of earthly treasures and pleasures. What do I really stand for, the Kingdom of God or the kingdom of the earth? If I really stand for the Kingdom of God than I will be the salt of the earth and the light of the world, influencing others into His kingdom and drawing them to the King of kings. Am I hot with the fire of the Holy Ghost, am I cold with no life within me (the life of the Holy Ghost) or am I being plain lukewarm? Is God watching me? Am I walking in reality? Have I deceived myself and am I being deceived?

Do not be deceived, God cannot be mocked whatever a man sows that shall he also reap.. (Gal 6:7-10). ...a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions (Luke 12:15)... what good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits his soul...(Matthew 16:26)...therefore do not store up for yourself treasures on earth....but store up for yourself treasures in heaven. (Matthew 6:19-21). This world is not my home, I am just a passing through....

Remind me dear Lord, that I may be found faithful ALWAYS for your kingdom's sake and for the glory of your name. Lord have mercy. It is a sobering thought and conviction. Where do you stand? What am I really standing for? Am I ready to meet with the Lord and be found faithful? Lord help me to love not the world or the things of the world (1 John 2:15) and help me not to desire the friendship of this world because I don't want to be an enemy of God (James 4:4) Teach me dear Lord not to be conformed to this world but be transformed in the renewing of my mind daily. (Romans 12:2) We no longer follow the ways of this world nor are we bound by it since Christ died to deliver us from it. (Gal 4:4) I have been crucified to the world and the world to me (Gal 6:14) since I have been crucified with Christ (Gal2:20). For freedom Christ has set us free...we must not use our freedom as an opportunity for the flesh (Gal 5:13). Be wise.... be filled with the Spirit of God... (Eph 5:15-18). Thank you Lord for your Word of truth, setting us free from the bondage of the evil one. Keep us always obedient to you in the power of your Spirit. The Holy Spirit is knocking at the door of our heart wanting to get in and burn us with His fire for the testimony of God the Father, in Jesus Christ (Rev 3:20). Open up your hearts and let His glory come in, open up your eyes that you may see the things unseen....stand up and take hold of what is yours in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. And my God shall supply all your needs and you can courageously and boldly say 'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me'. Is the Lord speaking to you as He has to me? Come to Him and drink of Him... as the Lord so lead. Holy, holy, holy Lord God Almighty who was and is and is to come. Take me, melt me, mould me and use me. Amen.

THE SPIRIT-FILLED LIFESTYLE

Hello Again my global friends,

Its been a great time of learning when I spent 10 days in Israel travelling with a group of general five others. The Lord has always allowed me to travel with my eyes, ears and heart opened for what He wants me to see, learn and receive. It is during this time that I felt I should write about I saw, heard and learned and am still learning. The wonderful grace of God has promised us a life that is totally satisfied and fulfilled or known as the "ABUNDANT LIFE". It can be all of our earthly life. I am always reminded of what I tell others. It is not a problem free life but it can be a worry free life if we are willing and ready to cast all our cares on Him. This worry free or fulfilled life is not only for our good and for our indulgences but more so for His glory. It is not only what we know the Lord will do for us and wants to do for us since He is our Loving Heavenly Father but it is also what we should constantly and daily manifest in our life on planet earth.
Since we are born of the Spirit of God we know that His Spirit lives in us and testify to our spirit that we are His child, and as His child we need to be manifesting the character of the Father in every sense of the word.
There are many who claimed to be "Spirit-Filled" but constantly manifesting the works of the flesh with loads of self indulgences and selfish lifestyles. I have been convicted many times especially while preparing to speak or after speaking about the "Spirit-Filled" life. I discovered that a Spirit-Filled lifestyle is not only manifesting spiritual gifts but manifesting the work of the Spirit in and through our daily living. The Spirit should lead us into all truth (John 14:26) which means we should be people of the word (of honesty and integrity) and should be able to understand the deep things of God (1 Cor 2:10-11), make us a witnesses (Acts 1:8) and make us testify of the Lord (which should make us all a messengers of God or missionaries). Missions should therefore be a lifetyle(John 15:26) and we should always glorify Him (John16:14)and not boast of self accomplishment. He gives us the courage and boldness that we need(2 Tim 1:7)than we should not live in fear even though there are many uncertainties in life , He also helps us to be intercessors and lead us into a life of prayer (Romans 8:26-27) so we can be praying without ceasing ( 1 Thess 5:17) we can pray constantly or be faithful in prayer(Romans 12:9), praying at all times (Eph 6:18) and praying steadfastly (Col 4:2)
The fruit of the Spirit is Love, therefore we should manifest a loving personality, loving people, caring for them and ministering to them. It is indeed a selfless lifestyle and not a selfish, self-centred one. Its a lifestyle of amazing "Freedom", not bound by anything on earth, for where the Spirit of the Lord is there is "Freedom" ( 2 Cor 3:17), and the minds controlled by the Spirit is life and peace ( Romans 8:6). Its a lifestyle of complete obedience (1 Pet 1:1-2)

Everything we do and say should be led by the Spirit. A Spirit-filled person should therefore have a lifestyle of missions, evangelism, witness, prayer, worship, caring and giving, proclamation of God's truth. Its a lifestyle of total freedom from bondage. Its a lifestyle free to do and to fulfil the will of God on earth as it is in heaven.Its the "ABUNDANT LIFESTYLE", a "COMPLETE" and "FULFILLED" one because it is a life God has intended it to be. Praise be unto God!!!

HONESTY

Hello My Dearly Beloved Friends,

Its always a joy and a struggle to know what to write and to write it with honesty and integrity. A joy as I recognised the glory of God in all that has taken place in and through my live, a struggle as I consider my continual walk with the Lord and what He thinks of it all. In comparison with others it seems that I am doing better than most but in comparison with my risen Lord I am far from where I should be.

As I continue to minister the Lord's word and to share His work I began to notice how easily we can deceive ourselves in sharing only the good things that has happened and fall short in sharing the struggles that continually burdens us and wears us down. On one hand the Lord has given me the ability to cast all my cares upon Him knowing that He does care for me on the other hand I wonder about the many cares that others had shared with me and how it has taken them captive. It seems all of live is just a stage. We easily put on an act for others to see but knows that that is not what what we are. It is so very difficult to be HONEST with ourselves since we always think we need to put on a good front for others to see. Is this what the Lord would wants us do? Does the Lord wants us to put on an act or does HE wants us to be honest and transparent?

For the last couple of weeks I have pondered over things that I have heard and seen others say and do and have judged them according to my standards and my perception of things. In the eyes of the Lord we are all failures and we fall short of His glory, but His Love and Grace is big enough to over-ride them all. I began to realised that it is so very important to know how to be honest before God since there is nothing we can hide and it is equally important since we should not be embarass with our humanity (which means not our pride but our weakness). We should not fear being honest since that is living in truth and the truth will set us free from fear of being found out or fear of being accuse.

Lord help me not to be defensive of my weakness/es but to be honest with it, especially with you and thereby be honest with my fellow brothers and sisters and with myself. May my life of honesty and integrity be an example of true freedom that will liberate others who are watching me. Teach me Lord to be grateful for the blessings of life and to be honest with the struggles that comes with it, the struggles of the self centred, SELF life.

FOR GOD BUT WITHOUT GOD

Its been another round of Waiting,
Hello again my precious friends around the globe. Its been yet another weekend of surprises with God even though there are many moments of the feeling of inadequacy and unpreparedness. Through these occasions I have been wrestling with the Lord for what He wants to teach me or remind me of. Through continual sharing and observation it seems like a reminder is appropriate. We have heard it all before and like every other human being we have the tendency to conveniently, flippantly or indifferently forget what we have heard and learn (supposedly). Every single time we come to a conference or even on a simple meeting we think we know it all, we have heard it before. For some strange reason most people either failed to practice what they heard or just simply forgot what they heard. Probably because we have the tendency to hear intellectually rather than devotionallY, thinking in our head and not receiving with our heart.As a result many would say I believe in God but somehow not so devoted to God. So we generally end up trying to "WORK FOR GOD BUT WORKING WITHOUT GOD". We are believers in our sub-conscience but not making a conscious effort to be with Him and so we go on our daily lives without Him , serving Him with our own secular wisdom and working for Him with our own human strength and plan. The outcome can be or will be what we make it out to be but not necessarily how God would have it be.
Time and again I am aware of my own shortfall and my own failing and I fear that many more will walk the same road. My prayer is that the Lord will help me not to continue in that mode but make every effort to stay on course with Him, be conscious of His presence daily and going with Him every step of the way in everything I do, say and think, to the praise of His glory.The Lord has opened many more doors of ministry in many more areas of the world, I have to be careful that it is not all done in the flesh, serving Him but without Him. Pray with me my brothers and sisters that the Lord will deliver us all from our humanistic approach to ministry, SELF-DEPENDENT RATHER THAN GOD-DEPENDENT, INDEPENDENT RATHER THAN INTER-DEPENDENT. WHO CARES?

Hello there my fellow Saints,

Its been hard trying to write on what the Lord has revealed through the years, through the ages and through the pages of scripture. I have been battling with this issue for awhile now. Week after week we were at our OM praying meeting and constantly praying for the needy nations of the world, particularly nations which are torn by war, civil unrest, poverty or natural disasters. We know that the needs around the world are not lacking, and it's getting from bad to worse. It seems like on one hand the Lord is shaking the nations and on the other hand He is stretching out His hands for all to put their hands in His. I have been convicted responding to the desperate cries of the needy and of meeting the practical needs of the nations (though physically unable to actually do that) through the help of His people as channels of His love and mercy. The many times I have preached the words of John,"This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren (brothers and sisters). If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him. Dear brothers (and sisters) let us not love in words or in tongues but in actions and in truth." (1 John 3:16-18)

It seems that if I am not putting the words of God in action then I am not living by the truth. A few days ago I was somehow led to observe the people around me and my eyes were opened afresh regarding the state of the lost world and the helplessness thereof, more so to the helplessness of the poor and needy. The Spirit of God quickened my spirit and I wept. It felt like the Lord is sadden and grief over the conditions of men and women who are separated from Him and are like sheep without a shepherd, harassed and are totally lost without Him.With wars, crime and natural disaster literally millions are perishing into eternity without an opportunity to respond to His love and mercy.

May we (me especially) respond to the needs in the kindness and love of God, that the world will know that Jesus Christ is indeed the Lord of heaven and earth and the Lord who is their Creator, the Lord of all. I am praying that the Lord will deliver me from a harden heart that cannot respond to the crying needs of the lost and needy and fail to live my life by His truth. I have prayed many times, Spirit touch your church, stir the hearts of men. Revive us Lord with your passion once again. I want to care for others like Jesus cares for me, let your rain (Spirit) fall upon me.

May the Lord have a hold on us, our lives and all that we are and have. Because the Lord cares, we should care also.

FEAR - UNWELCOME AND UNWANTED

Hello again my beloved brothers and sisters in the Lord.

Its taking me a little longer to update my blog it seems; Not too sure if it has anything to do with getting older. However it is always a blessing to hear many saying that they have been touched and changed by the Word and the Spirit of the Lord. The instruments that the Lord uses are generally weak and empty vessels but praise be to God that He is powerful!!! His word and His Spirit demonstrate that reality as He speaks and convinces men and women of His ability to transform and change not only their lives but their circumstances and their situation. Even if He doesn't change their circumstances He will grant them the sufficiency of His grace to withstand any onslaught of the enemy in whatever form.

Fear therefore is not a natural outcome of our Christian life though it may be natural for those not born of the Spirit. I guess that's why we were told to not be anxious (or not to worry or fear) of anything but in everything with praise and thanksgiving we should let our request be made known to God so that the PEACE OF GOD THAT SURPASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING WILL RULE OUR HEARTS AND MIND IN CHRIST JESUS.

There is no fear (worry or anxiety) in love but perfect love drives out fear (1 John 4:18). When we love the Lord we embrace Him fully and therefore there is no room for us to embrace fear or worries or anxieties. There is only room for one Master. Fear and all other elements are unwelcome and unwanted. It doesn't belong and there is absolutely no room for it. So grow in love for the Lord and be full of Him.

For those who are still wondering what to hang on to, fear or the Lord, I hope this will help you to see that anything outside the Lord will only strengthen the fear factor. Loving the Lord and being full of Him drives out the unwelcome, unwanted fear, worries and anxieties, be it of the future, of sickness, struggles or pain. Leave it outside of your life and let the Lord remain in there permanently.

I am reminded of my own time with the Lord. I can easily get sidetracked and fill myself with things unnecessary and unhelpful. Be strong, be firm and be bold in standing against the enemy of our souls. Time is running fast. The Lord is near. Lord help us to make our time and our lives count for eternity. Amen.

A FOOLISH EXCHANGE

"Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles. ........ They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshipped and serve created things rather than the Creator, who is forever praised."

Its been almost a month now since my last update. As much as the Lord has amazed me with His greatness, goodness and faithfulness, Christians have equally amazed me with their foolishness (I'm included in this since we are all the same) in chasing after the wind. We spend a lot of time treasuring up earthly goods, giving our full attention in acquiring more and more of them and missed out on the Treasure of all treasures, JESUS, Who is the sum of ALL THINGS.

Spending time sharing the word of God and listening to the words of men helps to differentiate between the urgent and the important. With constant travel and in ministry one gets to hear the discontentment and the instability of those who spend their time in pursuit of created things rather than the Creator. Created things are incapable of filling in the emptiness of a godless life, though many claimed to believe in God.

The response to His word through the many years of preaching indicated that there are spiritual vacuum in the lives on both believers and unbelievers, hence the hunger for spiritual truth to free them from the bondage of lies and deception from men (marketing products and consumer goods) who were used by the evil one to lead many astray. After speaking to many it became obvious that ignorance to the truth of God's word led to an inevitable path of deception and bondage. The awareness that the truth can indeed set people free gave many a new found hope and direction for living. It is therefore exciting and worth the while in spending time studying and meditating on the word of God and sharing it. When men and women are set free from the slavery of sin, the world and the devil they are therefore unashamed to be called the servants or even slaves of God since they discover the privilege and the honour of serving the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Glory be the Him forever and ever. Amen.

The Lord has indeed been awesome. He has been gracious in healing and strengthening my physical body and also in helping Bee Lee with her physical challenges. It is now up to me to allow Him to strengthen my inner being. We are now back in London and there are quite a few ministry commitment that awaits us. Pray with us that more will experience true freedom by obeying His word. Thanks for your prayers. It meant a lot.

THE CRY OF MY HEART

Hi its me again,

Its been good being able to have the extra time with the Lord but being alone with God is an awesome thing. The conviction that the Spirit brings into our soul is always overwhelming. It is the very heart of God that the Spirit convicts us with. Meeting people with pain, reading of stories of people going through pain and hearing the painful experience and cries of many from around the world has stricken me with the kind of sorrow and sadness that I have never experience before. It grief over the sight and sound of those in suffering, physically, emotionally, spiritually and in every other way. If this is God's heart than why am I not move to do anything, why are Christians around the world still dancing to the tune of self indulgence and care-lessness and have become so oblivious to the sound and cries of helplessness and hopelessness, and why are there so few that readily say to the Lord, "Here am I, send me"? Have I become hard of hearing? Have I been blind? Have my heart hardened that I can no longer respond to such needs? Has my heart actually been given to someone or something else other than God? What have I given my heart to that I no longer feel the way He feels, that I can go on with life with no sense of obligation or willingness to be an instrument of God to touch the lives of others. How have I managed to call myself a follower of Jesus Christ without bearing and manifesting His love.

Brothers and sisters have you ever wondered about the cry of your heart? Is it for God or something else? Its something I need to seriously think about as I seek live like Him. Pray with me that the cry of my heart will come from the cry of His heart. May the Lord be gracious.

THE LONGING OF MY HEART

SURPRISE!!??!

I am too. There is just this urge to want to write this. For the last couple of weeks I have had a real desire to want to be with the Lord. Its strange how often the scriptures becomes so real that it is not scary but awestruck, especially when the conviction of His holiness paralysed us into godly fear. As I have shared in our latest newsletter about the sin of self seeking indulgences. I had to look back in my early years with the Lord when hours can be consumed quickly just by being in His presence and enjoying the sense of His awesomeness. I have missed the days when singing "How lovely are Thy dwelling places, my soul longs for the courts of the Lord.; My heart and my flesh sings for joy to the Living God, you are my King and my God". (Psalm 84:1) was so real and personal, not that it is no longer personal but the longing of my heart seems a little more distant. I need to get back to my initial commitment or my first love when I echoed with the Psalmist, "One thing I asked and that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold His beauty and to inquire in His holy temple." (Psalm 27:4) And "Bless the Lord O my soul and all that is within me bless His holy name." (Ps.103:1) Because "In Thy presence there is fulness of joy." (Psalm 16:11) I know that He longs for me more than I normally have any kind of longing for Him. I realised more and more that that's what the human heart is longing for "THE FULNESS OF JOY" which can only be found in Him, which is His presence. I just needed to share that as much as I can so that others may enjoy that same fulness, that same joy. The urgency of bringing more and more people into His presence cannot be brushed aside since more and more people are getting into depression and discouragement. Many have also lost their joy of being with the Lord and has left the faith. The longing of my heart musty not only be for my own satisfaction but must be in line with the longing of His heart which is to see all of creation coming before Him and getting lost in His goodness and His loveliness. The cruel world that we live in has created a greater longing within the heart of man for His greatest good.... but they have all gone astray and look to all the wrong places and to the wrong people.

MAY THE LONGING OF MY HEART BE FOR THE GREATEST GOOD OF MAN AND FOR HIS GREATEST GLORY. Lord have mercy. May we all "Take delight in the Lord, that He will give you the desires of your heart". To Him who is able to give us more than what we can ever ask or think, to Him be all praise, honour and glory. Amen.

THE MANY THOUGHTS OF GOD

Hi Friends & Family,

A month has passed by and there have been many many thoughts that have gone through my mind and prayers. Now that I am no longer the team leader at Forest Hill it gives me more options to think about other things and that can be a problem.The tendency is to try and build my ministry from my recent experience, visits and talks with the different people that I/we met. It's easy to formulate ideas (so called vision) and passion (in most cases its more like impulse) and think that it is a God given vision. With constant busyness and a non-stop active life it can be easily understood (in our own mind) that we are doing great service or exploits for God. To make it even worse it is when we get positive feedback from people that we are ministering to. Lately I was reminded of the many times that I have shared about developing a 1. Christlike life, 2. Manifesting a Christlike personality, and 3.Demonstrating a Christ-empowered ministry with the ultimate purpose of glorifying God.

Challenged by the Holy Spirit about my so-called Christlike life, a life of God likeness (or godliness) which is also interpreted as the holy life, I was brought into remembrance the things that I did that stumbled others without confessing or repenting, my present thought life, the intentions of my heart (some times) in doing ministry and the many covetous attitude that some times went unchecked. This is a reminder that a daily soul- searching practice must be a part of my everyday life since holiness, Christ likeness and godliness is not an option for a child of God.

Challenged also by the unconventional methods of Jesus' way of ministry (like healing by putting His saliva in the man's tongue and mixing His saliva with mud and putting it onto the blind man's eyes) and my many rationale of what I think is wrong and should happen, forgetting that the Lord in His sovereignty can do whatever and however He wants with people and ministry. A submission to His sovereignty is needed and a non-judgemental attitude needs to be put in place since our ministry and life will be judge by God Himself.

Paul's words to us is so appropriate that we should "Take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ".

So at the present moment it ought to be my vision, passion and dream to work towards allowing God to form Christ in me. It has been a little difficult to really hear God when I know there are things that have separated me from the Lord, probably due to things that I have done or have not done. My thoughts have been more what I want to do than what He is doing. Thus it is more thoughts that can cause anxiety than thoughts that rest in the promises and the will of God.

Holiness is what I need, wholeness is what He gives. Therefore a holy life is a wholesome life full of His grace and goodness. Ideas about the future is great but thoughts of God is better. Thanks for reading and praying. Pray that we will not take too much credit for what HE HAS DONE.

Ongoing Battles & Trials with an Ongoing Focus

"While we are all grateful that the hand of the Lord s upon our lives yet we must never forget and never be complacent and be off our guard".

It is time for me to acknowledge my gratitude to everyone who has prayed for me and my family for the last many months and years. The Lord has been so gracious in seeing us through the many uncertain days (uncertain with the cancer but certain in many ways of the future). Many of you from around the globe have stood with us and we have been awed by God's great love through His people. As you have heard even before we discovered the good news that the cancer was cleared and so was the liver cirrhosis, I was hit with retina detachment of my right eye. That got corrected pretty quickly with great success but soon there was a bad ear infection that has caused a hole in the eardrum. This is not really settled yet, and just before coming to the Philippines I was hit with another high fever and an infection, of which the infection is yet to be diagnosed; The end of days for the devil is coming close and he is not ready to throw in the towel. However he knows that he "WILL NEVER WIN, EVER" even if he tries to deceive many in thinking so. (As I write this I am scratching from the itchiness of the infection) When we've been continually hit with many obstacles and challenges there is that temptation to want to look at ourselves and our impediment, and while on our beds the enemy began sowing seeds of deception, fear and lies. Learning to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ needs to be consistent and ongoing if we are not intending to fall into the schemes of the enemy. The thought of God's glory must never be blurred by our pain, discomfort and struggles. It is a wonderful thing to see the Lord snatching His people out of the devil's snare when we can share of His ever living presence and His ever present help for those who are in need. He is never far. He is always at hand and can be reached by the stretching out of our hands in humility and in prayer. This is our God the Servant King who calls us now to follow Him, to bring our lives as a DAILY OFFERING OF WORSHIP TO THE SERVANT KING, and HIS NAME IS JESUS!!

Yes there will be ongoing battles and trials but we must face it with an ongoing focus on The Author and Finisher of our Faith. I have yet a few days to speak in Cebu before flying to Singapore and Malaysia to bear witness unto the Lord's faithfulness. Please do continue to stand with me and my family as we press on in this battle. To Him Be All Honour, Glory and Praise forever and ever. And thanks to you all for being with us. Enjoy your day with Jesus and don't miss out on Him.

THE POWER OF REMEMBRANCE

Dear Faithful Friends,

Its me again with an overdue update. Just to firstly praise God for His amazing goodness and to thank all of you who have been faithfully praying for us and standing in the gap on our behalf. The Lord has been gracious in removing the tumour from my nose and from my lymph node. On top of that He has also restored my liver and so now there are no more liver cirrhosis according to the latest scan result.

As I write this I am made aware that this is a recollection of what were and what now is according to the grace and mercy of God. I would therefore echo Ps. 103:1-4; "Bless the Lord, O my soul, And all that is within me, bless His holy name; Bless the Lord, O my soul and forget none of His benefits; who pardons all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases. Who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with loving kindness and compassion. (NASB, Read till verse 6)

For the last couple of weeks I have been reading Deuteronomy and it is known also as the book of remembrance where the whole of the old generation passed away and a new generation were waiting to enter the promised land. The Lord reminded the new generation of what He had done for their forefathers and how their forefathers was deprived of entering the promised land due to their stubbornness and rebellious nature. Constantly they were told to "remember" or "forget not".

Firstly I realised that remembering God's goodness and dealings helps us to put things into perspective, especially how He brought us out of slavery into a life of total freedom from sin and the nature of sin. Instead of ,moaning and groaning about how much we are suffering we will be thanking God for what He suffered for us.

Secondly our remembrance of His goodness, His faithfulness and His mercies will grant us greater confidence to move forward in faith, remembering that He who began a good work in us will bring it to completion (Phil 1:6) since HE who calls us is Faithful and He will do it. (1 Thess 5:24; Heb.10:25)

For our regular partaking of the Lord's supper we should remember Him, His life, death, resurrection and return. This should bring great encouragement and hope to our souls.

Remembering who He is, what He did, what He promised and what He is capable of doing will definitely bring about greater courage to live, walk and move forward in Faith. So praise the Lord for a BOOK that constantly reminds us of the God who was, and is and is to come.

We can look back with thanksgiving, stand firm and conquer, move forward in faith to the ALMIGHTY, FAITHFUL GOD who chose us and have made us His children. Hallelujah!!! Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost.

Pressing On Not in Defeat or Discouragement

To My Tireless Prayer Warriors,

It is such an encouragement, constantly receiving emails, facebook messages and phone calls from folks around the globe reminding my family and I that you are with us and not "have been" with us. In the midst of all the motivational and encouraging emails and letters there are the occasional discouraging, honest confessions of missing out on God (actually I get more with conversations). This is not because these folks are not normal, in fact they are very normal, just like most people.

To be honest we meet a few people who try very hard to not show discouragement (I do too some times when, in a brief moment, my eyes and my mind is on something else other than the Lord) or despair but can't help it for the lack of peace and assurance. Therefore many times when we do share our grievances we try to stay on top of our circumstances and frustration and saying "I am pressing on". Usually the tone of "pressing on" sounds a little more low down than upbeat. I guess this is where my time of listening to others help me look to myself where I am each and every moment. We know what Heb 12:1-2 tells us that while we are running this race of life we are to fix our eyes on Jesus and not on our discouragement and circumstances.

I WANT TO STAY ON TOP!! It's a great feeling!!! And I know I can do that when I am standing on solid rock and not on sinking sand. Praise God that from London to the ends of the earth or from Singapore to the uttermost parts of the world. It is the same because Jesus is always there. I am encouraged. I am glad that the Lord has so graciously given me the privilege of sharing this from weekend to weekend and from country to country to be an instrument to draw all men unto Him. Like the Apostle I want to continue to say (with God's enabling grace), "We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man so that we may present every man complete in Christ". For this purpose also I labour, striving according to His power, which mightily works within me (Col 1:28, 29) And yes, it is His power, by His Spirit and not our own strength and wisdom. Praise be to God indeed! I am helplessly giving myself to abide in Him on a moment to moment basis as He give grace to do so. I am learning to use my God given time to write to more people, pray for them and with them as we are all connected in that one Spirit to fulfil that one purpose which the Father has laid on us all.

Our next three months schedule will require lots of grace, strength and wisdom from the Lord. Thank you for standing with us you who are our arms, leg and body. The Lord is still the head!! Hope to see many of you in the next three months. Do let us know how we can bless you if you know we are coming your way. One bonus that I am thankful for is not just the friends that we have but the Lord's goodness in giving us also great food along the way. Now that my taste buds are returning I am going to minister to my flesh a little more too. It's wonderful!!

SO PRESS ON WITH ME, and keep praising the Lord as long as we have our being and as long as the Lord grant us breath. (Psalm 146:1-2) Enjoy the Lord and you will enjoy Life. Amen.

THE WAITING GAME

Dear Saints,

Sorry for the long silence but it does take a while to regain a fresh motivation and inspiration to write something decent. It's something I have been thinking about the last few months. Waiting daily for things to happen and for good news to come seems like a real waste of time. (to a lot of friends and well wishers) Sitting at home and resting seems like a waste time too so waiting is not a fun thing to do. It's hard to imagine, for those who knows me, that I am actually not travelling or preaching. However as I looked back in time I realised that while growing up in Singapore as a kid waiting was an everyday part of life. Since becoming an adult things have changed since society have created a new world order of instantaneous results and immediate needs met by advance technology that produces instant food and instant cash. So we have gotten used to the immediate response and a quick and swift answer to all our questions about things and whatever else we so desire. Patience is no longer a virtue. Come to think of it I just got upset yesterday while "waiting" to see an eye specialist to follow up on my eye surgery. The nurse somehow sat on my documents and failed to pass it on to the specialist concerned. Another evidence of the folly of unrealistic expectation.

Since discovering and treating my nose cancer I have received many disheartened looks from many friends and relatives whose sympathy gave the idea that my immobility and inactivity seems wasted time. "Waiting" for my treatment to be over and for God to heal me quickly or immediately, after much prayer seems like a painful defeat. Some may have felt that I got depressed because of my sudden change of pace, inactivity and immobility. 6 months went by and it seems like nothing was happening with life and everything have come to a standstill...is this true? In the mind and perception of most average person or Christian this is probably true if we are just waiting for self-fulfilment, self-satisfaction, self-assurance or building our self image. Our inactivity and immobility seems to us totally unproductive and unfulfilled. This is because we are looking more towards what "I" am doing, what have "I" accomplished and why am "I" stuck here for six months? Because of our growing need for recognition and building our SELFimage we have become dependent on what WE can do and what WE can show to the world. In regard to our performance we must therefore not be seen to be wasting time and unaccomplished. So we live to please and impress the world rather than pleasing God. Therefore waiting is not a game we like to play. Waiting has somehow been removed from our vocabulary.

However when I look at scripture the Lord seems to say something else, like, They that "WAIT upon the Lord shall renew their strength" (Isa 40:31). " Be still before the Lord and Wait patiently for Him" (Ps. 37:7). "Wait for the Lord and keep to His way" (Ps.37:34). "Be still and know that I am God"(Ps 46:10). "Be still and see the salvation of the Lord" (Ex.14:13). Being still and waiting is not aimless if it's before the Lord that we are being still and it is for the Lord that we are waiting. I discovered that while I am not doing anything it doesn't mean God is doing nothing either. While waiting for the Lord I know that it doesn't mean that He is disorganised and and is not too good with His timing. In my case I realise that He wants to renew and restore my health and my strength by giving me the rest that I needed and to take time to see and to hear what He actually wants to do and is doing. I have been running almost non stop for the last 32 years and the Lord in His mercy and grace have somehow able to slow me down, which is not a bad thing.

This is the time to rest in the Lord and to be restored in the vision the Lord has prepared for me for the near and immediate future. Its time to "Be still and know that He is God". Waiting is generally God's way of getting our attention to stop what WE are doing and saying and to start to hear and see what HE is saying, what HE is doing and wants to do in and through our lives. Pray with me that the Lord will grant us the grace to wait upon Him to accomplished His purpose and be totally glorified as He so deserve. For to Him is the glory, the honour and the praise forever and ever. Amen.

The Difference

Its been another long silence after the last update. I have had many thoughts and these thoughts are provoking and challenging. When left with uncertainties we think things through. Sometimes they are unclear and sometimes is clearer that a mirror because the Lord added light to it.

With the Lord there is never a dull moment even though there seems to be nothing happening (or so we think). The Lord is always at work, seen or unseen, felt or not. Through some of my dull moments the Lord added in some exciting and fresh thought and its so easy for me to just daydream about it.

Glorifying God in all things and at all times is not easier said than done rather it is easier thought (not necessarily said)and the procrastination of actually doing it. This is the difference with those

Who studied much, thought through much, daydream about it much and did very little with what they thought. In the last couple of months I have thought through much but have not made too much difference because the thoughts have not had an application, so its nothing done.

I am thanking God for walking with me through the period of radio therapy but unfortunately I didn't managed to walk through with others as the Lord has done with me in their struggle against challenges, lies and deception that the devil placed in their path. I really believed the Lord has chosen many of us to walk with others as He has walked with us. Don't just have good thoughts about them. Make the Difference and show it through helping others walk with the Lord. Make the difference by not thinking it but doing it.

Thank you to all you have been helping me walked through these couple of months. The Lord be with you.

The Reality of Faith

"I have been crucified with Christ it is no longer I that live, the life I now live I live by faith in the Son of God who gave His life for me" -Gal 2:20

For this verse to ever have its full impact in our lives it has to become a living experience. It is an every day experience of different sorts and in different situations and circumstances. We are not meant only to have one experience but many since it is meant to be daily. Thus our testimony will always be fresh and relevant in our every day living and witness.

Everything that is written in the scriptures must become an experience and a reality if one is going to be an impactful witness for the glory of God. Just lately through my own recent experience with cancer the verse, 'What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his life' takes on a new meaning, a new reality, a new experience. I believe there will be more of the scriptures, the written word, that the Lord wants to make into a LIVING word when it comes alive in His children. At this point I am seeing it as ME!! He started His good work and He will bring it to completion and for that I have no reason to complain.

For faith to become tangible it has to be seen, felt and touched by the lives of those whose testimony was build on it. The God of Faith is doing His work in me and in each one of us. Neither you or I should resist it. I know it will be more painful if we resist since we are pushing His hand away from our lives. "Have Thine own way Lord, have Thine own way, Thou art the Porter I am the clay. Mould me and make me after Thy will as I am waiting, yielded and still". The second part of this hymn is a challenge for most of us, the waiting, yielding and being still is not something we enjoy doing. I was reminded of a word from the Lord that I gave to a brother, "My grace is sufficient for you, and my strength will be made perfect in your weakness". This same word should suffice for me since it a word from the Lord.

Thank you Lord for continually speaking to your children and not living them helpless and hopeless. Thank you that through your still small voice you bring strength and comfort for which I rejoice. Faith is becoming a new reality for me. I am praying that it will also be for us all daily. The Lord be with you all my brothers and sisters.

THE JOURNEY OF FAITH

Hi Friends,

Its been awhile and yes many are wondering what is happening to Kenny Gan since his discovery of his physical challenges. Like everyone else its a time of contemplation and prayer, seeking God in the midst of all the comment, advice and prayers. Thoughts constantly run through ones mind with many discouraging outcomes (please note these are just thoughts) but amazingly the thoughts of our Gracious Lord remains the ruling factor and helps destroy any unwelcome negativity.

This is another phase of my walk and journey with the Lord. It reminds me of the many times I have heard men and women talking about their journey in life. For most people the journey is theirs and their destiny should therefore be self directed and planned. You create your own destiny. Unfortunately none of us know exactly where we are going except when we gave our lives to Him and know for a fact that He has a future and a destiny for us.

The only thing about this future and this destiny is that it cannot be seen and it has no definite date.Therefore it seems obscure. Even the One that we have believed in is unseen, and unless one has been walking with the unseen God one will never know His certainty. The Lord in His mercy has revealed Himself to thousands and countless others through the ages and they have testified to His reality and faithfulness. I guess I have to say that I have been one of the very privileged ones where the Lord has ben gracious and kind enough to reveal Himself to for the last 32 years.

So, it is a journey of faith because it is walking with the one who is unseen and trusting in the promises of the unknown destiny. The journey is definite, the destiny is definite because the existence of the One who promises is definite. It is a journey of faith also because we walk daily with the Unseen God as He daily life us up when we grow weary or tired and He will lead us all the way to our destiny, HOME.....WITH HIM. Therefore we can boldly say, "Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will not fear, for Thou art with me, Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me...... Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever". Praise be to God!!!

So my dear friends begin your walk with Him now and not wait till the shadow of death confronts you. Know that though He is Unseen He is there with you. So do rejoice, the Lord is near, Glory be to His name.

THE BATTLE OF THE MIND

I guess by now all those who have read my previous blog would know that nasal cancer is my latest challenge. Since receiving the news I have not had much ministry since everything has to be put on hold. It's amazing how many well wishers, brothers, sisters in the Lord and friends we have who actually care about us.

It is a challenge to not allow thoughts to dominate our lives , especially thoughts that can discourage and paralyse or damage our emotions. The devil is good at using this. While the Lord uses people to encourage us the devil can easily sow seeds of self pity, doubt and self-centeredness to keep us down. The mind can effect the emotion which in turn will effect the physical condition. For the last couple of weeks my mind has been much on the treatment and how long that will be and how long I will be inactive from ministry. I realised that I don't have to resign myself to inactivity but continue to be a blessing wherever I go. Ministry is about people (I am always ready to tell others) and I meet people everyday wherever I go. Pray with me that the Lord will help me use every opportunity to glorify Him.

For those who are burdened by circumstances and by the challenges of life, let not the enemy have a hold on you but count it all joy for the privilege of bearing His name and the opportunities of glorifying Him through the challenges we face.

Praise the Lord indeed that His Words that says, "MY grace is sufficient for you" to the Apostle Paul 2000 years ago is still valid for us today. And Paul said, "And God is able to make ALL grace abound to you in ALL things having ALL that you need you WILL ABOUND in every good work. We must let the written word become a living word, made alive in and through us that men may see our good works and glorify the Father. By His grace indeed and His mercy I will let His word be made flesh in me while I dwell among the people in my world around me. To Him be all glory, honour and praise, ALWAYS!!!

FACE TO FACE

Following up on my last update the Lord has put my proclamation to the test. In writing about trust dare I now trust the Lord in the midst of a medical confrontation that comes face to face on my pathway to His presence. About two months ago I was told that there was a tumour in my nose and that I had to go for a day surgery. During the day surgery I was told I needed to go for radio therapy. A week ago I was told I had a stage three nose cancer. Everybody is saying trust the Lord. I want to trust the Lord and I realised that it is not about trusting the Lord for healing but it is trusting the Lord for His dealings in my life. Trusting God in His Sovereignty in all circumstances can be daunting. It doesn't have to be so when we are convinced that His glory is of far greater importance than my desire to see signs and wonders. His miracles are still available and indeed the Lord still works miracles but what if there is no signs, wonders or miracles (on a human point of view)? Is God still God? Of course He is still God and His wisdom and ways will prevail.

Obviously our understanding in trusting God is a very humanistic one. We demand signs, wonders and miracles but the Lord just require a humble submission to His Sovereign will. His grace is sufficient for what it takes to live an extraordinary life in glorifying Him with all the is happening in our lives. What does God require of a man or a woman but to do justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with our God. Walking in humility, accepting His Sovereign and permissive ways sis something that many find difficult since we have the tendency to trust in our rationale and emotions than trusting in Him. We mus remember that whatever we do in word, deeds or thoughts, we do it for His glory and his glory alone.

TRUST...WHAT A WORD..!?!?!??

Trust is a common cliche that we use often within the Christian circle. Its been widely discussed, mentioned, studied and memorised even, but unfortunately put very little into practice. I have preached on it zillions of times (I think??!!?) yet everyday brings a new challenge to experience its reality. Faced with many obstacles, trials, calamities and frustrations daily give one a clearer perspective on the significamce of the word. Trust is not much talked about when things go well, especially trusting in God. We have the greatest tendency to trust oursleves, our abilities and our achievements when times are good, when there seems to be no obvious reason for us to re..al..ly trusting in the Lord. For the most part our understanding of trusting in God is when things go bad and the going gets tough. We trust God only for our needs, our wants and our difficulties. It is not our responsibility to trust God for a holy life, or be an encouragement and a blessing to others. It is not our responsibility to be a witness and to show Christlike love to those around us, to people we work with or live with. Its not even our responsibility to be a channel of God's blessings by sharing our God-given resources and gifts for the salvation and well-being of others. ITS ALL ABOUT ME!!

The other reality is when others are face with grim physical or medical challenges and we would say let's trust the Lord or you should just trust God, until it actually happen to us and hit us like a ton of bricks, then suddenly its, well you don't understand the pain do you?

TRUST, is it just a word? Is it just a cliche or a Christian jargon? Or ois it an experiential truth in our daily lives? I have been awakened afresh just this recent week. I have just been hit by the expected and what do I say, how do I think and what would my response to God and to others be? This is my quest, to be a Trusting, Faithful and Obedient servant of God both in good and bad (nothing is bad really since all things work for good) times. Will you join me in this?

Perception and Practice

Observation is a great thing to do especially with ones own life and the life of others. The fascination comes in watching what people say and what they do. I was reminded of the Apostle Peter who though confess Jesus as the Messiah, the Son of the Living God. His confession comes from a revelation of who Jesus was (and still is) but His perception of what the Messiah should be is a very selfish self-centered one. Like many other Jew they were waiting for a political deliverer, Messiah who will make life easier when He overcome the Roman domination of Israel. They probably remembered the Old Testament days when the Lord used kings and judges to deliver them from their enemies and to lead them into a land full of milk and honey, peace and prosperity. They are so secular and humanistic on their outlook of life that it was difficult for them to perceive the spiritual implication of the coming Messiah. Similarly when we received Jesus as our Christ, the Son of the Living God we are all looking at HIm delivering us from our human enemies (which cause us emotional and mental stress) and from our material poverty. So most of the time we are focus on our emational, mental and material needs and take very little notice of our spiritual poverty and bankruptcy. Therefore in most of our prayers we pray for the Lord to provide for our financial and material needs . We do not see the Lord as our need but look to Him to meet our need. And because our perception of Jesus is political and humanitrian we have the tendency to live our lives in defence and in indulgences, defending our responses to people and situation and also defending our lack of concern to look into the interest and needs of others other than our own. Plainly its just selfish and self centered living. If therefore our perception of the Christ is similar to the Apostle Peter than our response to Jesus will be similar to His. Death to self and the sin nature is not a welcome thing for us. And Jesus would say to us, "Whoever wants to save his life will lose it but whoever loses His life for my sake will find it." For what good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world YET FORFEITS HIS SOUL?

The last few months has been another eye opener for me and hopefully it will be for others too. It may seems right for us to only think of ourselves and say "God help those who help themselves" and yet close our eyes and heart to the needs of those around us. We need the wisdom, discernment and sensitivity of the Holy Spirit and not the humanistic self life to lead and guide us daily. To Him be all praise and glory.

Deception or Devotion

Hi Saints,

The world of observation and contemplation can cause us to think in many different ways depending on what we are really thinking of. In the kind of ministry that the Lord has given me I have the tendency to meet with more believers than non believers even though the Lord has given me many many occasions every year to share the good news with non believers.

However in my mingling with Christians I am challenged to constantly reflect, contemplate and scrutinise my own walk with the Lord. I constantly hear myself singing of my love and devotion to the Lord through the many songs written by men and women alike. Right after singing (and worse still right after preaching) I find myself doing otherwise. The manifestation is generally the love of self and what I possess, either titles, experiences, material blessings, my pride or whatever else. I talk about loving people but am not willing to share my possessions with them or even help them in some practical way. I will only watch and pray (maybe). I talk about loving the Lord but am not willing to give Him my pride, prejudices and partiality. I am nice only to people that are nice to me or people I like and can really get on well with.

The heart is indeed deceitful, and yes, who can understand it?! We have been deceived by the devil in living half truths thinking that as long as I am practicing the other half it should be ok. Stephen Olford preached an uncompromising sermon about the subtlety, the deception and the sin of partial obedience. It is never ok. I must not deceive myself in thinking it is ok and can boast of my DEVOTION to the Lord because I am doing mission work or serving the Lord in some capacity. I am obeying the Lord in some areas of my life. It must be ok. Then I realised that I must not be deceived God cannot be mocked whatever a man sows that he shall also receive. There is therefore no substitute for complete obedience as hard as it may be.

Am I living a deceptive life or am I really devoted to the Lord in all I do, think and say. Thank God that He is faithful and just. So if do confess our sins He is faithful to forgive and to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness. Therefore let him who boast, boast of the Lord who graciously forgives.

Time: Use it or Lose it.

It's been more than 31 years since I first got involved with kingdom work. From the beginning I knew that it has to be the king first and then His kingdom. Staying close to the King and making sure it is what He wanted and not just my passing fancy. His kingdom also means it is His people and His vineyard. We always seem to start off well with lots of enthusiasm and motivation. As time goes by many seems to slip and loose sight of the King and His kingdom. All the time used and the effort put into all that we are doing can easily be WASTED TIME!! Since it has nothing to do with the King or His Kingdom. It is my liitle kingdom, my little world.

I can easily sit in the office and be in my own little kingdom doing things that I like, doing things that I enjoy, (though in many ways, humanly speaking there's nothing wrong with that). I have been reminded time and again about my wise use of it. Making the most of time because the days are evil. (Ephesians 5:15-16)

I can sit in front of the TV and the computer for hours and accomplish ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!! Have you ever felt like that? That you have just wasted so much time doing nothing? Because it has no real purpose or significance. Time cannot be bought but it can be invested. Time cannot be retrieved but you can use it to imrpove on the past. Time waits for no man but it must not pass us by. It's been a learning, growing experience in time.

I hope we will look carefully how we live, not as unwise man/woman but as wise; making the most of time, investing in the King and His Kingdom. In OM's terminology......REDEEMING THE TIME. This seems like the thing of the past. It cannot be retrieved but how can we improve on it? I have been guilty of squandering time, wasting time and losing time. Now its crucial for me to know how to make wise use of my God given time on a day to day basis. JOIN ME AND MAKE THE MOST OF IT.

THINKING CHRIST....LIVING CHRIST

What a challenge to share the word of Christ in first trying to internalise it. For the last few weeks I have been thinking, meditating and praying through a series of teachings that I felt the Lord has laid upon my heart to speak about. It's the "CHRIST-LIKE LIFESTYLE". I have entitle it 'Lifestyle' for the most of it. The Holy Spirit has not given me much rest in this since I have been convicted of my own need to adjust my life and to be conform to His image. I have been spending way too much time thinking about the world, its pleasures and the desire for it. The subtlety of the computer and of "facebook" seems to deaden our senses, especially our spiritual senses. Giving in to the desire for the flesh and setting our minds on the things of the flesh is death. That's why even though we may be Christians and may be regular in church, bible study and prayer meetings yet when our thoughts are not on Christ it still brings death. We become so alive in the things and desires of the flesh and begin to loose our appetite for the things of God.

On the label it says "I am a Christian", underneath it we see the manifestation of the flesh.

A.W. Tozer in an inspiring book wrote, "In order for us to do right we must think right". Therefore in order to live Christ we must think Christ. "For as a man thinketh in his heart so is he." (Prov 23:7 NKJV). It's a constant battle trying to set ones mind on things that are above where Christ is (Col 3:1-2) and also on the things of the Spirit (Rom 8:5-8) since we are more preoccupied on our daily survival in the world, worrying about what to eat, what to wear and what "WE" may hold with all that is happening today. Everybody said you have to try but Jesus said, you have to die ("deny self, take your cross and than follow Him"- Matt 16:24) in order to live. Die to self and live unto God. Setting your minds on what He had said through His word.

It is when we start "Thinking Christ" than we begin LIVING Christ by the power of His Spirit that indwells us. More can be said but I think I need to wrestle more with it before I can really share it. God is gracious and merciful and will not allow us to be tempted beyond what we can be. Be ready, not to fight (because the battle is already won) but to Stand your ground. Praise be to God! BE HONEST, BE REAL AND BE HUMBLE!! This is what has been said to me many times. I need to take heed less I fall. Thanks for those who have been standing with me all these years. You are my fellow soldiers in Christ. We are not in this alone, we have the body and He his our Head. Hallelujah!!

MISSING THE OBVIOUS

ONLY ONE BOOK - THE BIBLE. Many of us have read the Bible day in and day out for I don't know how many years and yet somehow we can missed it all. If we are conscious and alert we would have noticed that from the beginning (Genesis) to the end (Revelation) all the pages of the Bible talks about GOD!! And looking no further we somehow stumble upon the word MAN (and Woman for political correctness' sake even though we know it meant MANKIND or all of the human race). So obviously what God wanted us to know is about Himself and how in His glory He has created man in His own image. Unfortunately most people miss out on GOD and only look at themselves, Without God there is no image and therefore missing God means missing our image. Looking for self image in every corner of the world would be futile since it can never be found anywhere else except in God. It is puzzling to note that Christians having been to church for years and probably read the bible for years and yet still miss the OBVIOUS, GOD!! And so, missing God we missed everything else that comes with God: His presence, His blessings, His Abundant and Supernatural life and all of creation. Missing the supernatural means we live a very ordinary, mundane and boring life.

Living in God and with God makes life itself purposeful because God has a purpose in everything and for everyone. In Him therefore is our purpose and our life. Lately the Lord has led me to read so many different books that re-endorse the many convictions that I have had through reading the scriptures. His word continually reminds us and inspires us to go further and deeper with Him in His life, purpose and vision (and passion, what He is all about).

Talking, counselling, mentoring, discipling and coaching (all the different terminology which actually end up meaning the same thing) helps me be even more convinced that we have become utterly foolish in forsaking God for things that resemble mortal men and things that are not even worth our energy, time and effort, much less our life and our whole investment.

I am asking God to help me not waste my time seeking after the perishables but the imperishables, not for the things that are seen but for that which is unseen. As Paul said (2 Cor 4:18) what is seen is temporal and what is unseen is eternal. I believe we need to make an eternal investment of our life, our time, our money and our God given resources and energy. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Well that's just my thoughts as the Lord so revealed. I am grateful for His grace, mercy and faithfulness.

LIFESTYLE

Lately I found myself speaking a lot about lifestyle, the Christian lifestyle or the Christlike lifestyle; not a passive Christ-like lifestyle where one does nothing offensive or sinful but an active lifestyle where one is constantly doing good and manifesting Christ in all that we do, say and think about people. Ministering to them and not hindering them or becoming a stumbling block to them.

Christ-likeness is not an option for the believer. The Spirit of Christ lives in us and is meant to make us a powerful witness for Him, to testify of Him and to glorify Him in all we do, say and think. Unfortunately, this is not the focus of most Christians. We are still very much self-centered, selfish, self-conscious and self-seeking. It's hard to not seek our own good but for the good of others (2 Cor 10:24), not to look only in our own interest but also to the interest of others (Phil 1:1-11), not to be serve but to serve and to give our lives as a ransom for many, as is our Master so we must be in all His likeness.

The question I have to always ask myself is, "Who am I serving?" is it me or the Lord?" If it's me, then I am afraid this is idolatry, but if it's the Lord than I must forgo all of myself, like Christ emptied Himself and and became a slave (He gave up His glory in heaven to do this) and was obedient to the Father even to the point of being put to death as a criminal who is completely innocent.

What can I say about that kind of Christ-likeness that I am suppose to pursue after? How far behind am I and what about the rest of us? I suddenly realised also that the consistency of living a Christ-like life means also that there will be a consistency in missions for those who have been called. We are to be Christ-like, reflecting Christ, representing Christ and proclaiming Christ wherever the Lord sends us, first with our lives than in word and deed. What a challenge!!! Dare I take this up or dare we all take this up unto His honour and glory?

Pray with me and for me and for the rest of His church that the Lord will grant much grace, wisdom and sensitivity to His Spirit to be able to live up to His calling. Thanks be to God that All things are possible with Him and His grace is indeed sufficient and abounding. HALLELUJAH!!!

What's of the Heart?

Hi People,

It's not so easy to just put stuff into the blog without going through some soul searching moments. Oh how easy it is to speak forth the truth of God's word and to share with tens of thousands of people and somehow drift away from the Lord. The heart is indeed deceitful...who can understand it?! We can easily worship the Lord with our lips even on a regular basis and yet the heart can be so so far away. The unfortunate and scary thing is that it can go unnoticed. The longing of our heart daily can be 1% or 10% for the Lord but the major part of our longing can be for our own hearts' desire for other things

I have been thinking a lot lately about the "Discipline of the Heart". Is it "Devotion" or "Deception", is it for Him or for myself. Just had an interesting article from Singapore that talks about the Singapore government. I think there's a lot of wisdom in it. It says that the reason why Singapore failed (they lost a seat, what a failure) is because they never thought about failure. It is true that no one plans to fail but the thought of it should keep us on our toes and to cover every loophole we can think of so that we won't fail.

This is not to be a paranoia and to dwell on failure and self pity but rather to be humble and to constantly recognise that without the Lord we will fail and that we should guard our hearts because it is the wellspring of life (Prov.4:23). The prayer of the Psalmist in Psalm 51 needs to be applied regularly for safe guarding our heart.

Thy word have I kep in my heart that I might not sin agaisnt Thee. It has to be loving God with ALL OUR HEART. Trusting God with ALL OUR HEART, and seeking God with ALL OUR HEART. Is this asking too much, I asked myself? Obviously not!!! Since without Him we are nothing and we have nothing.

THANK YOU LORD FOR BEING OUR GOD AND OUR ALL, WITH ALL OUR HEARTS.

BLINDED

Its not a great title for any kind of article or book but its the truth and scripture have enough said about it. The more you know the more you will be held accountable. Its the scarious and an awesome responsibility to be given much. The more I travel, the more people I meet, the more sermon I preach the more conscious I am of this responsibility. How can I a mere human being open the eyes of the blind? How can I avoid the pitfall of judgementalism in the midst of my concern for brothers, sisters and friends who daily have their bibles open but their eyes wide shut. Not easy to understand. The Lord has been trying so hard to get His people to see every single day. There are tragedies, disasters and calamities and yet we still can't see what the Lord is doing and what He is trying to say to us. The Old Testament messages of the prophets are not welcome by this generation of feel gooders. Judgement and discipline is too harsh and sounded way too negative and discouraging. We must not say much about it. We need to encourage the people.

I have been blinded by my own pride and arrogance. I have been blinded by my conformity to the world and its comfort and therefore am guilty of being a blind trying to lead another blind.
O Lord open our eyes that we may see, open our ears that we may hear, open our minds that we may understand, and O Lord open our hearts that we may receive all that you have wanted to give us all these years and have been deeply grieved because of our hardness of heart.
The Apostle Paul said that the god of this world have blinded the eyes of the unbeliever. Unfortunately I think he has also successfully blinded the eyes of many believers whose focus is not on the Lord but on the things and cares of this world. May the Lord deliver us all from the snare and fiery darts of the evil one. Look Only to JESUS.

Clear and Present Danger

Its amazing!! God's creation and God's creative images implanted in men and women around the world. We were awestrickened by the beauty of man made architecture, sculpture and paintings in Italy. It was just fascinating!! But behind all the facade there were as it is a hidden danger where men and women completely ignore the reality and presence of God. I think it was more so in Paris, now also in Italy where much praise and honour was given to the achievements of men and women rather than the majesty of God. I have noticed again and again that there is an incredible reluctance to speak forth the truth in love even though we know that many are living a lie. Society is heading for destruction with all the immorality and spiritual decadence and yet many insist on the positive side of things rather than facing the reality of the coming judgement of God if men and women fail to repent and to return to God.

I have been reading through the Old Testament and saw how situations in Europe having an exact same situation as that of Israel 3000 or 4000years ago and the Lord has sent many of His prophets to warn them against destructive living. Many would not want to listen because it sound too negative and discouraging. The reality was, God was going to judge. It is sad, it is unwanted but its true. It is a CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER TO IGNORE THE VERY WORDS OF GOD. Europe and the rest of the world needs prayer and they need more to proclaim the truth fearlessly. I have been praying about my own ministry and consider what I should be saying. Please pray that I will not be afraid to be the Watchman in warning men and women about the clear and present danger or rebelling against the Lord. There is no way out.

It is beautiful, its incredible, its magnificent but don't ignore His Majesty.

God is good and gracious and we say HALLELUJAH for that. He is an amazing God.

We thank God for allowing us to enjoy great beauty and glory. We praise Him for what He has done through some of His servants around the world. We were blessed by the privilege of meeting a dear Chinese brother whose ambition is not just to start restaurants but also to pant His church around Europe,. To Him be the glory. Pray for the Chinese church in Rome, in Greece and Lord willing also in Budapest. Have a great year in 2009.

TO CARE OR NOT TO CARE.....

In following up with what's been said the last time I began to think about what happened to those that I have just left alone without telling them what I see was wrong. The more I travel and the more people I meet the more responsible I feel I need to be, not that I have become more responsible because it is a struggle to not fall into judgementalism. While in Paris I watch a fellow brother sharing with another brother about his honest opinion regarding the country that he was working with but it was not welcomingly received. As I watch the scenario I began to realised that within the body of Christ we are becoming less and less of our brothers keeper since not many want to be kept (saved) due to either pride (probably more pride than anything else) or cultural sensitivity. As we returned home I started thinking about the letters of the Apostle Paul to many of the churches. They are of a different culture than his and yet he felt compel to tell them because we as a body should speak the truth in love so that we may all grow together in that body. To the Apostle Paul within the gospel there is neither Jew not Greek, men nor women, slave or free so it speaks of overriding culture, gender and social status, we should be concern and should have the right to speak to each other the truth in love.

Paris is a fascinating city with lots to offer in terms of culture, history, the arts and many other things but it still is no comparison to what the gospel of Christ can offer. That is the most fascinating thought of the day. It is yet to be discovered by many Christians around the world, especially those individuals who boast of their personal, cultural or social achievements. To boast unreservedly of Christ is symbolic of ones ultimate discovery of the value of Christ in comparison

to the rest of the world and all it represents. I want to press on towards the goal of that discovery since I am not there yet. Nevertheless its my goal. As we think of this timely birth of Christ we need to think of why He needed to be here. Men and women who seems to have everything they ever needed and yet are never satisfied or content because its never enough. BUT JESUS IS ALL THAT WE NEED AND IN HIM WE ARE COMPLETE LACKING IN NOTHING. Hallelujah!!!

REALITY

For many years now, I battled with the idea of being real and judgemental. I have been trained to evaluate and summarise situations wherever I go. This is primarily due to my years of line-up experience and also visiting churches, counseling and mentoring individuals including pastors and leaders. It may not seem like a big deal but it has challenged me to think and rethink through what I say and what I should say.

IN our present world most people are not very willing to hear the truth if it sounds negative. Christians and non-Christians alike prefer to hear positive things and positive feedback rather than criticisms, even constructive criticisms. As a result I realised that we are giving false information and deceiving our brothers and sisters when we cry "Peace, Peace" where there is no peace. If God so calls us to account for our negligence, indulgences and sins then I feel we should warn them. I have been reading through the Old Testament Prophets and I realised that this is not a very popular calling or a desirable one since you will face rejection and intolerance from those to whom you have to share the message of God.

Therefore if men and women only believe in or prefer to believe in lies rather than truth, then we are living in unreality, not facing up to the real situation but prefering to cover it up and making it look good on the outside though we know deep down it is plain rotten. I am very conscious of my own shortcomings and faults. It is a challenge to my own soul when I consider the truth of scripture and where I have been in terms of my relationship to the Lord. Brothers and sisters we need to pray and pray earnestly that the Lord will grant much grace, wisdom and courage to face up to what is REALITY and be drawn even closer to the Lord rather then alienate ourselves from Him by rejecting the plain and simple truth. This is my prayer for myself and those that the Lord has led me to minister to.

May the Lord be honoured and glorified through it all.

INTEGRITY

I have been going from one preaching engagement to another and its so easy to tell everybody else whats wrong with them and overlook your own life. Though it has been a constant habit of mine to regularly search my own hearts before preaching (lest I be judge more severely) yet I know that I can easily slipped, and as John Stott said, (' the indulgence of the mature life") we can easily indulge in sin without even blinking. This does not necessarily mean that we have committed an unforgivable sin but it simply means that we feed the desires of the flesh than the desire of the Spirit.

Last weekend was a really good opportunity to allow the Lord to awaken my own heart afresh as I minister His word to brothers and sisters who may not know a lot but who were opened for His Spirit to speak. I was convicted that I must not be a stumbling block to their faith by my own hidden indulgences. The Lord knows if no one else does.

Through it all I a became more convince that I need to be faithful to the Lord and to His word, both in living it and teaching it. Much prayers is needed if we are ever going to be His free channels (without any hindrances) of blessings to others. Pray with me that the Lord will grant the discipline needed to stay on top and to stay fresh so that His word will not be stale bread pass on by mouldy Christians. Your faithful partnership cannot be underestimated. It plays a vital role in our lives and ministry. Thanks again for standing with us. Keep pressing on for His sake and for His glory.

NEEDY JAPAN

Japan. It's not the first time I have been to Japan and yet this visit seems to be a lot different than any other visit I have had so far. Kyoto is a "Dark" and "Depressive" place. It is the "spiritual center" of Japan. October in particular is where Japan is at its peak in spiritual darkness. The many spiritual festivals which in many cases relates directly to host of wickedness of hell itself. There is a particular festival where they actually invoke the spirit of hell to be awakened. Without these cultural and traditional Shinto festivals I wonder what Japan will really be like. I guess in many ways it will still be dark without the Lord as any other nation. However, Japan itself is going deeper and deeper into darkness it seems. Spiritually bankrupt and depraved men and women were led into moral decadence. Life seems meaningless and the few foreigners that I met during my visit to Kyoto were badly affected by its darkened atmosphere. Many begin to sense the hopelessness and meaninglessness of life. As a result, more and more are becoming suicidal. Japan DESPERATELY NEEDS PRAYER, Japan, DESPERATELY NEEDS TO RECEIVE MORE LABOURERS FOR ITS HARVEST FIELD and Japan NEEDS A COMPLETE RENEWAL OF ITS CHURCHES. PRAY FOR JAPAN.
As we all know, in the midst of any gloomy scenario there is always a glimpse of hope. God has not left Japan without a remnant.
The few churches that I have been working with are trying hard to bring the good news to some. Pray that the Lord will not only give the needed wisdom but the needed outpouring of His Spirit upon His Church.
Methods and programmes seems to be more of a focus than waiting on the Lord. Prayer in most cases is not a priority. I need a fresh challenge and we all do. May the Lord grant us both the grace and the discipline to do that which is necessary for the sake of His kingdom.

I became so much more aware of life's superficiality and all things artificial this time around than at any other times. I am now sure why but I did. It gave me a greater awareness and a fresh new challenge to be on a continual prayer for this needy nation of Japan. Pray with me.
It is a BATTLE!! And we will be ultimately victorious. Praise the Lord.

His Presence

Hi Again,

Its been great fun for the last three months. It s good to know that though I am away from my desk I am never away from the Lord. Yes, its not because I am with Him 24/7 but its He who have been with me and my family 24/7. And because of this amazing assurance we can always relax wherever we are. His presence is the best place that we can all be in. There is incredible peace and confidence.
This is what the Lord has given and this is what I have been sharing with brothers and sisters from around the globe. It seems like many brothers and sisters have allowed themselves to be robbed of the joy and peace of the Lord when they failed to enter into His presence. Even when we come to worship on a Sunday morning many can still be standing in the outer courts and not into the holy of holies, made possible to enter in by the blood of the lamb.

Now we are back in London and the last weekend have been an encouraging one. However, even though some would like to think that it was really of the Lord, I really felt that we were still in the flesh in what we were trying to accomplished. We were still trying to use "Our Organisational Skills and Experience". The Holy Spirit must have an invitation to come into the meetings. It is strange that people think that they should invite the Holy Spirit rather than acknowledging that it is His meeting and that He should take over.
In any case I believe that Lord in His mercy have allowed us to do what we think we can and He has done what He saw fit. We rejoice in His Sovereignty. Hallelujah!!
Do continue to pray for my many travels in the coming days. Almost every weekend between now and Christmas I will be speaking somewhere, it will be in the UK, Japan, Denmark, Philippine, Singapore, Paris and possibly Italy. Thanks for praying.

Wow, its been awhile!!?!

I was told many years ago that the more I write and communicate the more prayers I get. I am not sure if this is true today but it is a motivation to SERIOUSLY consider being a little more regular with my update.

We left for Singapore on the 9 June and have ben travelling to Malaysia, the US, Japan, back to Singapore and now Brisbane, Australia. Today we fly to Auckland New Zealand. What a hectic schedule some people might ask and how do you cope. Well for us it is an incredible joy to be with people, especially good friends. Some we meet quite often and some we have seen for a long while. We have been incredibly blessed by many of our friends and equally blessed by the new ones we met along the way.
Seriously, the ultimate is to have our Best of the Best Friend, The Lord Jesus with us all the way. He has so amazingly touched many lives, whetherit was in a formal meeting or an informal one He seems to be at work. He is always in the business of encouraging people, ministering to them when they didn't even expect it.

I know that HE IS SERIOUSLY CONCERN about the lives of everyone He has made. He has laid upon our hearts what isin His heart. It overwhelmed us always when we see His amazing love and goodness being poured out into the lives of the peopel He cared for. WE can only stand in awe!!

The US was special because we did not only meet with people who are like-minded but confirmed some of our convictions to see God's people more equip for kingdom work.

Japan was extra special when we met a Shinto priest who insisted that I look like Jesus and shook my hand sveeral time standing up. According to him it is not in the Japanese culture for an older person (like himself) to stand up and shake the hands of a younger person. Which meant that I should be honoured. Pray for Mr. Sugimoto. He is very closed to the Lord but needed to see a breakthrough against the bondage of culture and religion.

We are now in Brisbane, Australia and it was great to meet many who have been trained in the INtensive Training programme and are now leaders in their own rights. Emil from Azerbaijan is now pastoring a Russian Church and is doing great. PTL.

It is always exciting to watch the work of the Father. Many have SERIOUSLY robbed themselves of this blessing by being a passive Christian, not walking with the Son and working with the Father through the Power of His Spirit. I am praying for more to be drawn closer to the King His kingdom and to glorify Him in all things.

It is Seriously encouraging just to be here in the midst of all that He is doing. Hallelujah.

Incredible Greenland

Greenland!!! Who would have ever thought of going to Greenland!!! When asked 4 years ago by Norwegian missionaries to Japan, I thought its just a joke or a passing remark. So jokingly I said, "Well if the Lord wants me to go to Greenland He will make a way for it to happened!!" He did and I have been there three times now. It may not be a major revival but I believe the sowing of seeds and the time of encouragement brings about a renewed vision for the Lord and His kingdom. I have been blessed by the hospitality and friendliness of brothers and sisters who have been there many years, especially from the Faroe Island.
I am grateful to the Lord also that my fellowship with the Greenlanders are increasing and I am praying that more Greenlanders will be added to the local church. The Greenlanders are a very different group of people that I have met before. Their nature and lifestyle is rather peculiar, especially their eating habits, eating raw seal, whale, polar bear and other interesting stuff. Their communicating skills are also interesting, using more of the eyebrow than the mouth or any other facial expressions. I am not sure if I am gonna catch much of that but I know that they need the Lord and thats what I can give and share with them. So far it has been good but slow. I pray that by going there more regularly (once a year) I can give more attention to the them. Do pray with me that the Lord in His mercy will save more Greenlanders. and that they will in turn touch others. They have the same population as the Faroe Island and the Faroese have sent out many missionaries. Pray that we will also see the Lord of the harvest to send forth labourers to Greenland and many Greenlanders to the utter most parts of the world. It is a special battle each time I go there. The enemy has ways of trying to get me discouraged but his schemes are not new. They are old but many times subtle. So be watchful and keep alert for the enemy is prowling around like a toothless, roaring lion. Praise God for the victory He promised already in Jesus Christ. Well not only promised but have already won the battle. PTL indeed. So keep looking unto Him who is the Author and the Finisher of our faith.

The Triumph Of His Grace

Ya, ya, its been awhile since I last updated my blog and its with a good reason. I try not to write every single thing everyday. It helps to contemplate over things that happened and to people that were touched. Its best to wait and see what else is happening with what we thought happened.
Anyway I have been challenged again and again about the sin of presumption. I for one can presume on a lot of things, especially on the surface of things. There are many days when after preaching I hear people say how the Lord has spoken to them or have touched their lives. Its good to wait for awhile to see the actual progress. Initial excitement can be tested by time to see if what was said had fallen on good soil or did fall on rocky grounds, or thorns and thistles or a long the path. By its fruit you can tell of its tree.
Praise God however that the Grace of God always Triumph over all human frailties and errors and His grace is always sufficient to lift the individual up to what they should be.
To share testimonies of God's goodness and greatness is necessary but maintain our faithfulness to His grace and mercy is a different story.
I want to learn to be better stewards of the Lord's amazing grace and by that same grace to renounce all irreligion and worldly passion and to live an upright and godly life in this godless world. Join me in drawing near to the grace of God and find grace to help us in time of need. Praise the name of Jesus.

The World In Need

Dear Friends,

This is long overdue. Busyness is no excuse for not communicating and for being absolutely silent for more than a month. People, people, people!! They are everywhere and sometimes they do bugged you. However the more I travel and the more people I meet the more I realised that "People need the Lord". They may call themselves Christians or they may call themselves an Atheist, a Buddhist, Taoist, Confusionist, a New Ager or whatever, without the Lord they are just lost. Most unfortunately for those who do not know the Lord they will be lost for eternity. Its very hard to imagine or describe what the nether gloom is all about. I have just been convicted that the World is as much my responsibility as it is the Lord's because now I have been called the son of God, or a child of God.
The Lord in His mercy constantly allowed me to speak at an evangelistic meeting to remind of the unsaved since most places I go to I meet up with believers more than non believers. God is our Great Reminder. He doesn't forget but we do.
There's a world out there who is need of the Lord. How am I responding? I resllised that I am not to think that I am responding to the needs of the world but to the call of God upon my life as a child of God. The Father's heart should impress upon me a sense of urgency since we ought to have shared the same passion and vision. Pray with me brothers and sisters that the Lord will help me not to be sluggish but to be diligent in doing what I must for the Glory of His name.
My recent trip to Philippines has helped to propelled some considerations of my future involvement in the kingdom of God.
The World is in Need of Jesus. Let's go with God into the world and reach out.

What is it all about?

Wow, what a Christmas!!! An experience hard forget and not to take it for granted. We are grateful to the Lord for giving our family the joy and the privilege to be in Egypt for about 11 days, full of activities. The best part are friends, friends we missed and new friends we make along the way. It was so good to know the Lord is actively at work in places we've never been and people we've never met. Its a blessing!! If you can look at the recent photos publish you can see that we are having fun. But we know also that it the midst of great fun God can still be at work, touching hearts and changing lives.

So someone asked me, what do you actually do what is your ministry all about? Its quite easy actually. Its about making disciples by being a disciple, teaching or sharing everything that the Lord has given me each and every day. This does not only mean sharing the word but everything else that comes along with life and what the Lord has given us.

A couple of things that the Lord has led me to do is to simply share Christ wherever I am, with whoever I'm with and in whatever situation I may be in (whatever I am doing, eating, drinking, preaching or just being with people) I must let the life of God flow in me and through me. No one ever said is easy but its possible. I an deeply indebted to the Lord for His amazing and continuing Grace upon me and my family. Its been 30 years since the Lord met me and its been that's almost how long the Lord has led me in the ministry. Glory be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am Forever Grateful!!!

Hello Friends,

If you are wondering where I have been let me tell you I made a mistake with my blog. I posted the last one on my family blog instead of my personal one. So feel free to click on the Ganz blog and read the last entry.
Anyway I just look through the "soul retreat" blog (https://soulretreat.multiply.com) and was inspired and refreshed. Inspired by the testimonies of those whose life the Lord Lord had impacted at the soul retreat weekend and refreshed because that's what I believe I should continue to do and pray that the Lord will grant me the grace to fulfill all that He has installed for me. I need to pray especially that I will be able to hear His still small voice and obey it.

It is so easy to be busy going through the daily routine that it becomes monotonous and tedious and ultimately "Boring". Once the ministry becomes a bore and a chore than we will go through a downhill, depressive decline. It is always a challenge to stay fresh and be refreshed constantly so that we can refresh others when we engage with people.
People and circumstance are the main challenges in life and ministry and they are both capable of wearing us down. Not that people are bad, but they are just people like you and me (note, me included) with all our faults, mistakes and hangups. However they are the beauty of God's bigger picture and God's perfect plan in molding and making us to become more and more like Himself.

Well I must confess that it does get a better of me some times and if I am not careful I can allow it to wear me down like everybody else. Praise God though that His grace is sufficient and His strength can be made perfect in our weakness. That's the cause for rejoicing. Praise the Lord!!
If you feel like me, Great. Rejoice also with me.
Christmas is the very reason why Jesus came, to make perfect all that is imperfect, to call sinners into His kingdom of saints. Its all so glorious!! I pray that the glory of Jesus Christ at Christmas will be yours now and always. Have a beautiful Christmas and a very Blessed New Year.

This year have gone by so very quickly. Lots happened in the last 9 months. For those of you who read our news/prayerletter you would have discovered that already.
Our recent trip back to Singapore/Thailand and Hong Kong have also been pretty hectic. Bee Lee had a successful operation. We were all relief that is was nothing for us to worry about. However she also found out that she had other complications, which is also not serious but needs something done
I had the joy and the privilege of ministering to about 35-40 pastors and church leaders in the Eastern Seaboard of Thailand. It was a 3 day teaching seminar which the pastors appreciated. Most of all it was the strengthening of Christian Fellowship that meant the most. Though my Thai was very limited yet we were able to bond. I am grateful to my friend Jack Limbu (from Nepal) who make this happen with the help of the President of the Eastern Seaboard Pastors fellowship.
5 days in Hong Kong allows us to meet up with many friends, prayer partners and supporters. People matters, ministering to people matters more. We treasure the many great friendships that we have with many different ones from all over the world. We visited the Doulos very briefly and was able to touch base with lots of old friends and colleagues.

People are worth it. Spending time with people are never wasted time if they are encouraged and ministered to just by our friendship and presence. Praise the Lord.

Your friendship has meant a lot to us. Thank you for your prayers for our health and for our needs. Financial needs for our surgery have all been met. Thanks to our generous and praying friends .

At this point I would like to request your prayers for a new project that the Lord has laid upon my heart for many years now. I had tried to do whatever I can but felt that I should do it on a bigger scale now.

MINISTRY TO SAINTS AND SEEKERS - After many years of travel and ministering in so many countries I realised that the needs are great but the resources is insufficient. I wish I can go to more places and see more needs met. Though I may be able to make the extra time yet the lack of financial resources hinders that.

1. Ministry to the saints - to provide teaching and training materials to pastors, leaders and believers. To encourage them and to help strengthen the body of Christ with the word of God, both spoken and printed. Just to bring them together is already a challenge because many can't afford to travel or to provide for their own food for a 3 or 4 days training. Your prayers and support will help meet those needs.

2. Seekers - many in the developing countries have poor churches who may have the desire to reach out to their lost neighbours and communities but they don't have the resources to do much. The pastors are barely surviving. We would like to help provide resource for community projects and bible studies for those who are really opened and seeking.

Pray with me that Ministry to Saints and Seekers will become a reality. Thanks again for your partnership. Do write to me if you have any questions. To God be the Glory.

New Vision

Its me again folks!!! Its been a great couple of months since my last post. Thank you to all who have prayed for my operation on both eyes. Both cataracts have been removed and new lenses replaced. My eyes are a lot better now accept that there are still some adjustments to be made. Most of you will look like trees with my new vision but many others will look great. I can now see all the pimples with a clearer vision. =0)
Three days after the operation I ended up speaking at Bee Lee's former church retreat. It was really great catching up with many old friends and getting to know new ones. Its very difficult to know how it all went. We had some very good feedback's but not enough to give a sensible evaluation. We are however very encouraged by the ones that did share with us.
After Singapore we were in the Philippines again. The Lord opened new doors to work alongside a key church, The University Baptist Church. This is the first time for OM to get into this church and we are now partners with them. The Senior pastor was gracious in giving me an open invitation to be their in-house visiting speaker, which means that they will always avail their pulpit when I am in town. This is the work of God!!

Had a real joy of leading a team to Portugal visiting a few towns, villages and cities. We visited Guimaraes, the birth place of Portugal, Vizela, Agua Santas (Holy Water), Porto and Lisbon. The team consisted of Bee Lee, Debbie, Trina Bong, Daniel Tan, Andrew Koh and Tan Sin Lin (the last three are from Nottingham University). Our main goal was to help the local churches break down walls and build bridges. We did many friendship evangelism, door to door, open air, children's work, youth and even the elderly. We spoke in different churches and trusted the Lord to show us how to be an encouragement to local believers. The feedback has always been an encouragement to all of us. Its was a great team. There were a lot of work and a lot of fun which makes the work light. Praise the Lord!! All the churches we work with had many English speaking people which was a help to the team. Invitations were given for our return. Praise the Lord. This is also an encouragement to OM Portugal who seek to strengthen partnership with local pastors and churches.

We are now back in London where there is much to do. If only we have a team of mobilisers we would be able to see more raise up for His harvest field. Pray for more labourers, pray also for more leaders who will catch the vision for the Kingdom.

Well guys, your partnership has always inspired and encouraged us. Especially for those who have been praying for us ceaselessly and for those who have been supporting us financially. THANK YOU. YOU ARE A BLESSING TO US!!

Keeping UP

I am not too sure why I let my daughter talked me into this blogging thing. It is really manifesting my age fast because I don't seem to be able to keep up with the speed that she is going. However in terms of ministry I think many are trying to keep up with me, always asking what I have been up to. Well I had a great time going to Cambodia with different groups of people. A Canadian Chinese hos works in Birmingham, a Hong Kong Chinese who is now a British citizen working in Australia and a few Singaporeans some of whom are from my home church in Singapore and others who are just friends of friends.,
The Cambodia visit was excellent for discovering new ministries and getting a wider network with other organisations. New Ideas developed and thoughts of discipling the youth and the next generation arose. One of the needs of this generation is the mentoring and discipling of the next generation of leaders. This has become more evident from country to country.

While in Thailand (after Cambodia) the cry for more mature leaders echoed pretty loudly from the president of the pastors fraternal. Please pray that the Lord will raise up more godly leaders who will not only be given the position but also the training and mentoring that is so much needed.

On the family note, Debbie has just finished her exams and Bee Lee is about to return to Singapore to keep an eye on her sister and dad. Pray that she will be a real blessings to them both and also a witness. Pray for both their salvation and also Bee Lee's other siblings. It is great that I was able to go to church with my dad and introduce him to the many friends that we have. Dad seems a little happier and was able to converse with quite a few people. Praise God for giving him new friends and new purpose in his life. Pray for my mum that she too will open her heart to Jesus.
While there were lots of encouragement there are also challenges one of which is my eyes. I will need surgery for both eyes soon (9 June). This will be an expensive business. Your prayers will be much appreciated. Thanks again for standing with us. God bless.

God's Grace and Bee Lee's mum

Since the last blog we experienced the Lord's grace afresh by softening Bee Lee's mum's heart and by giving her the desire to open her heart to Jesus. She has been resistant to the gospel for many years. When she discovered she was plague with cancer all over her lower organs she continue to resist the many Christians/church members that visited her. Bee Lee and us cried out to the Lord and the Lord was gracious to answer. Bee Lee had the opportunity to return to Singapore, be by her mum's side and led her to received the Lord. Another sister who wanted to make sure led her through another time of prayer.
The night before the Lord took her away the Spirit of the Lord prompted me. I knew she was gone but felt peace that she is save with the Lord. Both Bee Lee and myself were at peace and are confident of the Lord's faithfulness even at the very last hour. We are grateful to the Lord for the many friends and prayer partners who stood with us during this time of testing and grief.

Though the Lord is gracious the enemy is not so. Bee Lee was literally persecuted during the funeral by many of her relatives, condemning her and us for being disrespectful by not going through with the Buddhist religious rituals. Her elders sister was accused of not being in control and so were her dad and other siblings. She is the only Christian in the family.
Pray for her dad who is now 77 years old and also for her elder sister Tina that the Lord will be gracious in bringing salvation to them. It is the Lord's desire that all men be saved and that includes all of Bee Lee's family, my family and your family. May the Lord grant all of us great wisdom and grace to know how best to be a witness to our friends and family members.
To Him be all honour, glory and power, forever and ever, AMEN.

Being People of Grace

Right, Its so easy to see the faults of others when we can't see the many faults that we make. Judgementalism is pretty common amongst God's people. We can be so critical at what we see in others but ever so blind to all the imperfcetion of our own fallen nature. Grace is just not to be receive but also to give. Freely you have received freely give. I know for a fact that everyday inded is a day of grace abundantly bestowed upon us by God. My prayer is that this grace that has been so abundantly received will overflow into the lives of others.

Each time I praise God for the privilege and joy of preaching the Lord brought me to a place where I can truly rejoice in what I preached by giving me the opportunity to put them into practice when I return to the office where people see me everyday. Its great!! Its the Lord's sense of humour.

The Lord is gracious in ways that we will never understand. A friend that we have prayed for many times have been physically healed of cancer and there are others that have been eternally healed and now with the Lord. In either case it is the grace of God. But what about the people who have to suffer physical pain? Is the garce of God there still? I am becoming really convince that even there His grace is extended to the highest heavens. It is His grace to allow us to have the opportunity to return to Him and to draw near to Him in that brief moment of pain in order to experience an eternity of peace and perfection. Eveerything will be just right when we see Him face to face. Please pray that those who are going through the momentary suffering will embrace Him who will give them eternal and abundant joy in His presence. At the moment Bee Lee's mum need such a prayer. A friend, Rudy's wife and children need such a prayer and several of my colleague needs such a prayer. Will you stop for a few moment and pray for God's grace to come upon each one and whenever we can let us give grace as we have received it from the Lord. Lte's be people of Grace for His Glory.

Amazing Grace Indeed

Hi Again Folks,

What can you say!! Every time I mentioned Greenland most people think I have to be nuts but the Lord has His purpose. This is the second time I have been to Greenland and its about the same time of the year. Returning from Greenland I had about the same experience. The weather was bad and the flight was cancelled. What can I say!! After the Lord gave us a great weekend of meetings immediately there the challenge came. For many years now the gospel have not had much inroad in this one particular church. They have tried many different things and many events but few Greenlandic people ever showed up. This time it was a little different. They had a Genuine Imitation of a Greenlandic character by the name of Kenny Gan. A picture was placed in a magazine where every household got a copy. It was in Danish and a little comment was made regarding my past. A mistake was made because the editor did not put it in the Greenlandic language. Therefore another poster was made, a larger one with full colour and the same picture. We didn't know what to expect but prayed that the Lord will bring the people. To the surprise and delight of the church many did come. For 3 nights we had about 10-15 Greenlanders came to listen to their brother. Quite a few were touched and wept during the meeting and each night about 4-5 people gave their life to the Lord. It was encouraging to see those who responded stayed behind for immediate follow-up. Pray that the church will be given great wisdom from above to know how best to follow them up. Amongst them there were many social and domestic problems and need a lot of prayers and breakthroughs. So please pray.

Another of God's Amazing Grace was for Bee Lee's mum to open her heart to the Lord Jesus. A few of our Friends and church mates went to visit Bee Lee's mum and tried talking to her and praying with her but received a negative response. Earnest prayers was offered by many around the world. I specific prayed that the Lord will grant Bee Lee the grace and the wisdom to know how to share with her mu and so she did. The Lord's Amazing Grace has reached her mum. Praise the Lord indeed!!
At this point we would beseech you to continue to pray that that same grace can be extended to her mum for her pain to be relief. She is beyond treatment at this point and needed a lot of grace to endure the pain. Please pray!!.

Bee Lee is returning tonight and we will leave for the Logos 2 in Malta tomorrow morning for the net 9 days. We will have to be ready to return to Singapore at any time if the Lord calls her home. Thanks for your prayers, your many encouraging emails and your support.

IT IS HIM

Hi there again,

For those of you who have been reading this blog I think you know that it has been a great encouragement for us to have received so many feedbacks and prayers from so many of you out there in the world.
You know that without your prayers and many of your practical support we would not have been able to continue in our ministry. The Lord has used you to encouraged us and to blessed us in so many different ways that you probably would not be able to imagine how, especially when you don't think you are doing much.
Wow, what can we say when we see what the Lord has done and how faithful He has been in answering so many prayers even when we doubted some times. He has graciously provided us all that we need and also all that others need through us. He has touched and transformed many lives, and He has also raised up labourers for His harvest field through His weak and feeble servants like us. More and more door of opportunities lay opened for us this coming year and more long-term relationships has been forged as a result. More mentoring is taking place and more blessings from the Lord. HE HAS DONE IT ALL. IT IS HE WHO DESERVE ALL THE PRAISE AND THE GLORY. So worship the Lord with me and just give Him Praise. Keep looking to Him and seek only to Glorify Him.

If you have read our latest newsletter you would have discovered that I am entering a new season of my life. Discovering that the present body is not eternal or everlasting. It is wear and tear. However I think I should try to make the most of this limited time to bring praise, honour and glory to my Lord and my King, Jesus the Risen Christ. I know how easy it is for me to waste a lot of time wondering around both in mind and body even though the spirit is more willing to do something more significant and worthwhile.
I have been reminded always of the preciousness of every single soul that is born to this earth, and the Lord desire that they be saved.
Recently I had the joy of speaking to over 200 university students at the Overseas Christian Fellowship Christmas Outreach. I must say that the students did an incredible job in setting it up and also the talent in acting and writing the script. I was deeply impressed.
It has been in my head (more than in my heart) to always make an impact in the lives of every person I meet. Of course that has not always been the case. It is a seasonal thing. Sometimes it seems like it totally depended on how prepared I have been for such occasion and some times if feels like they should have been ready but really, ultimately it is all dependent on the Lord who knows who is ready to be saved and will bring salvation to them.

Guilt can be destructive instrument that the devil use against God's people. I am not exempt from this. Every now and then I felt like a total failure in my ministry but at other times I was over the moon. Again it is the Lord who will get the glory because it is He who is at work. We are just His instruments. So praise the Lord that It is HE.
What season are you in now? Make the best of it. If its winter enjoy everything that winter has to offere and if it is summer than do the same. To god be the glory great things HE HAS DONE.

The Words of Man and the Words of God

Wow, its seems ages since I last got into my blog. Sorry for not updating this. Anyway it has been a good soul searching experience even while ministering to many others around the globe.
Ministering God's word to people around the world is an awesome task. The Lord will hold us accountable for every word we utter in His name. This is why I am worried many times tha I am not guilty of preaching my own message other than what I believe is given by the Lord. For many years now I have been trying very hard to discern what is of the Lord and what is not. It doesn't always work the way I thought it should. Thankfully the Lord is gracious in allowing me to experience His assurance by using brothers and sisters to confirmed the words spoken. There were many that came and said that they really felt the Lord speaking to them
Just a couple of days ago I think I failed, because I was too self conscious and men conscious. In order not to offend men I decided to do something else rather than what I thought the Lord had given me originally. The thought was aweful. I knew I had failed Him since it was more my words than the words of God. I am still living through the consequences of guilt.
Do pray that the Lord will us those of us who are preaching to be bold in proclaiming the word of God, not to please men but to glorify Him and to save men and women who neede to hear Him.
The Lord has been gracious and forgiving but I know that I mustn't take it for granted. Men and women need to hear the word of God not mine. It is wonderful when we hear men and women saying "The Lord has spoken" and not just, "A good message".
The last weekend was awesome where the Lord met with individuals during a church weekend retreat. The blessing of God Almighty was upon us and our brothers and sisters in the Lord. We praise Him for His incredible goodness.

Praise the Lord!! Praise the Lord !! Praise the Lord and Praise the Lord!!! These are similar words I have heard over and over again for the last six months (to be accurate for the last 28 years since I began my service in His kingdom). Early this year at a students "Equipping Weekend", in the UK, in Singapore, the Philippines, Greenland,( January - May) Malaysia and Australia (June) and in many other meetings in and around the Greater London area it is "The Word of God, Prayer and the Holy Spirit" that has meant more to most people than any other subject that was preached. Primarily because most men and women are hungry more for the Lord and for spiritual things (which meet their deeper needs) than for all the material things that surrounds them. Its not surprising since the Lord is within them and the world is around them or outside of them. Does that say anything to us all? Without exception every single country and every single church that I have been to the quest for spiritual reality is always greater than that of wealth and secular success. (even though it is not wrong in itself and many are still pursuing it) The preaching of God's word unfold the truth about the inward need of mankind. Undeniably our seared conscious disabled us from seeing the truth until the Holy Spirit convicts us of the necessity. I have become more eager to preach what I believe is of grave necessity in our day and age. While wealth and material abundance consume fleshly pleasure and desire, the soul and spirit of men remains dead and dry and is in need of life and revival. And it is ONLY GOD that make it happen. I wish I can write all the quotes and sayings of those who have been ministered to by the Holy Spirit. God is doing a new thing or bringing back the old buried treasure which was lost when men/women fell from grace.

Would you please pray with me that the Lord will raise up more men and women who is so consumed with Him that they can't help but manifest Him in all His glory. I have yet a long way to go but I want to be a part of all that the Lord wants to do. Pray that throughout the Christian world there will be such men and women whom got will use to manifest His work of grace. He has given but there are many who have yet to received. If you have not receive than you should pray that the Lord will grant you the ability and the wisdom to know how to receive His fulness and His abundance, that you and I in turn will have the abundance to share. This is my prayer.

"Spirit touch your Church, stir the hearts of men.
Revive us Lord with your passion once again.
I want to care for others like Jesus cares for me,
Let your rain fall upon me."

Spiritual Life and Renewal is not a subject to be studied nor is it an object to be obtain, but a lifstyle to be lived, experienced and shared continually and consistently. It is then that the Reality and Eternity of God can be ascertained. "This is to my Fathers Glory that you bear much fruit". John 15:7-8

What a privilege

Do you ever wonder why the Lord has called you and chosen you to be His child? Well not many people take the time to think about it and to consider the joy and privilege that that carries for an individual. I have been speaking in recent days and weeks about the "Abundant Life" that Jesus came to give. The more I spoke about it the more convinced I have become about this promise.

Places like Cambodia and the Philippines have an incredible capacity to stimulate our imagination. The deprivation of the people there, and in particular the children, kept me grateful always for the joy of being call His children. Just the stark contrast between Cambodia, Philippines and Singapore is enough to make one grateful for the abundance that we have. But to consider the "Abundant Life" that the Lord promises is even more mind boggling.

"Lord forgive us for the many bad attitudes that we have each time we grumble about our dissatisfaction with things and with the cirscumstances of life. Help us to see the privilege that we have and the hope that awaits us in the after life."

Bee Lee, Debbie, myself and Chris Keiller (Ex-Logos 2 member whose parents were with Bee Lee and myself on the Doulos donkey's years ago) spent a few days in Cambodia (not my first visit) and the poverty awakened us to the reality of the deprivation of the human race, not only of material things but of moral obligation both to God and to their fellow men, women and children. The exploitation, abuse and use of people is truly depresssive. Godlessness has led men and women to behave in the most inhumane manner. Lord have mercy!!

Is this going to be just an intellectual stimulation for me and my family? I hope not, for the sake of His gospel and His kingdom and for the salvation of the many millions who are suffering at the hands of evil men.

More trips means more responsibility as the Lord exposes more and more the needs of people around the world. Pray with me that the Lord will grant much grace, wisdom and discernment to know how to respond practically to these needs. Will you also join me in my travel and also in the ministry, both spiritual and practical.

Through the ministry of the word the Holy Spirit brought about a new conviction in the lives of many young men and women. I pray that these convictions will bring about a change of life and attitude towards God and our fellow men/women around the globe. Many have expressed their desire to walk and work with the Lord in the fulfilment of His Great Commission. Pray that this may become a reality both in response and in experience. Praise the Lord, Praise His Holy name.

Turning Green

Wow!! Never thought I would be in Greenland; Saw it in the news and in documentaries but never thought about being there. Before that, however, I have had an incredible time in the Philippines and also in Singapore. Ministering to people, particularly God's people is such an incredible privilege. To be a source of encouragment and support to them is a blessing from the Lord.

In Baguio I have been able to help trained between 45-55 young 'Missionary In Training'. The training is for men and women to develope a consistent devotional life with the Lord. After all, isn't our relationship to Him more important than our work for Him? Helping to see the value of Life in Christ has helped individuals to want to live a life with Christ and to stick with Him. This message has been shared also in Greendland and in Liverpool just recently. The response to these messages has always been outstanding when the Lord opened the eyes of our hearts. Without exception, each time the challenge was given many made a recommitment to the Lord to walk humbly and consistently with Him. As mentioned in my previous post, it is not only the hearers that gets challenge but the messanger himself, because it is a fresh reminder for him too.

Now to Greenland- Greenland is the biggest island in the world with a tiny population of about 55,000 people scattered throughout the country. The Greenlandic people has Mongolian descendents, and I look just like them. I fit right in whenever I was there. Greenland is also a Danish colony with past Norwegian missionary influence with now many Faroese Christians coming over to live and work here. It's quite a fascinating place. I arrived at -20 degrees celsius. The capital Nuuk has bout 15,000 people with only a handful of believers that needs a lot of encouragement and challenge. A God conscious life is much needed in order to make a conscious God-like or godly influence in the society that they or we live in. The Lord has spoken so very clearly to many about this that the response has been very very encouraging. I wish I am able to write the different things people said and do in response to His word. Do continue to pray for the Lord's hand to be upon His messengers that He may continually pour His Spirit upon them too.

What's So Amazing?

Its been three months since I last updated this blog; it's been a a delightful three months. Going for a little break with family, in-laws and friends in Portugal and Spain was just great. It's one of the few times that we can just relax and unwind.

Christams was spent in Seville, Spain. It was a little quiet but enjoyable. It's the company you have isn't it? It's just "Amazing" how the Lord can help us enjoy the little things in life.
January was filled with speaking engagments on weekends. Its just "Amazing" how the Lord touches life when we least expect it or when we don't even think about it. The word of life shared didn't only touched the lives of the hearers but the one who shared it as well. I'm amazed!!

It's "Amazing" to see how well the Lord knows His people and their needs. I was asked to speak to students and student leaders on a weekend training and the Lord provided a new message and a new focus. Not that anything is new to the Lord but it's new, a new day began for those whom the Lord touched.

I had a fresh touched from the Lord and a new insight into some very old truth. The Abundant Life that the Lord promised two thousand years ago. How easy it is for us to missed such great truth when we failed to pay attention. The word 'life' in the English doesn't mean much to most of us and it does not express the depth of what the Lord wants to convey to us, His Very Precious People. For human kind, life talks about "the self-life", the "soul-life", the "natural life", the "ordinary life", but for God, it is "Spirit Life", the "Supernatural Life", the "extraordinary", life "over and above" the natural, the "complete" life", a "satisfied life". This is called the "Abundant Life". Dare I exchange this self-life, natural life, ordinary life for something much more superior than anything anyone can offer in this present world. Dare we seek after it with all our heart and not disappoint Him who so eagerly and readily poured out His self life that we might experience the God-life, that Supernatural, extraordinary life.

The more I discuss this or talk about it the more excited I get. Let's share this excitement with people around us and get them excited about This Jesus who promised us the !Abundant Life".

So, do you know what's so Amazing? I hope so.
It's just amazing to see others enjoying what He gives. Praise be unto Him who calls us by His own mercy and grace.

Well I don't know about you but I think Jesus beats Chinese New Year anytime. For my Chinese readers I hope you have Jesus this Chinese New Year and not just Ang Pows and good food.
WE have the greatest food, THE LIVING BREAD AND THE LIVING WATER that really satisfy.

Blessed by being a Blessing

Its amazing to see how our faithful God never short change us. The many times I traveled thousands of miles and coming back straight into my reponsibility here in London some times make me wonder how long I would surveive, but the joy of the Lord became my strength. The way the Lord does that is by giving us countless encouragements through people that we have ministered to. The many encouraging letters, emails, phone calls and conversations that we had from across the globe is enough las us for many months to come. The kind, gracious and encouraging words minister to us and blessed us (me particularly) and give us greater motivation to do more and to go the extra mile.

I was just back from Japan, Singapore and the Philippines. Just to see the people that we minsiter to grow in their faith and now making inroads for the kingdom of God blessed our hearts. Coming back to the UK and then having to minister to a group of believers from Liverpool that I have never met brings about new challenges to trust God for the impossible. Immediately after the weekend I received an email from the elder of the church mentioning how they were encouraged and challenged is amazing.

I am blessed!! I am encouraged!! And I praise God for the joyand privilege of being in His team. He is the best team leader, trainer, mentor and friend, ever. I hope you will all have exciting tale to tell about our Greatand Awesome God. Praise Him!!

Renewed Focus

I-PODS, Bluetooth, digital videos, cars, housing, new clothes, bank accounts, higher education, better skills, better tools.....and the list goes on. What am I trying to say or what is the Lord saying to me. Though in the so-called "Full-time ministry" yet many times we can end up being a part-time Christian because the focus is more on the world than on the Lord and His kingdom. Yes, worldly standards, worldly expectations and worldly outcomes. Its interesting to be reminded that what we see as successful is not necessarily in agreement with the Lords standard and even the results (by numbers or counting heads) is not necessarily what the Lord is looking for. These things are good but if it is bringing glory only to self and to organizations and not God than it is falling short of His standard and will be regarded as "filthy rags".

Doing it for Him and doing it for me is two different focuses. I am in ministry not for self fulfillment or seeking significance. I live the Christ-like (Christian) life not for commendation and self glorification but to glorify Him.

A few days ago I was in a course on missions and mobilising for missions and the whole focus was just God, His kingdom and His glory. When I was first called into His kingdom, Matthew 6:33 was incredibly powerful and real. It still is but with lesser intensity. Therefore a Renewed Focus is necessary so that HE MAY BE GLORIFIED IN AND THROUGH MY LIFE AND IN AND THROUGH ALL THAT I AM DOING AND TRIES TO DO EVERY SINGLE DAY OF MY LIFE. However, it is not without its challenges and daily battles.

I need to fight the good fight of the faith and finish the race of my high calling. Join me and pray with me that the Lord will grant much grace and wisdom to do His will, to accomplish it and to bring praise , honor and glory to His holy name.

People- the joy and pain of life

Wow!!! Its amazing how through the years we have had the joy of meeting, ministering and being ministered to by so many hundreds of people from around the globe and its still happening.

During our recent trip to Perth, Manila, Singapore and KL we have been able to meet up with so many different ones and also minister to many new ones. It is especially touching for me to be able to meet my spiritual parents (Philip & Christina Chan) who were the founder of Hiding Place, a Christian drug rehab in Singapore, while we were in Perth. It was a real surprise since I didn't expect to see them there at all. Best of all, we met at the airport on arrival to Perth. WHAT A WELCOME!! The reunion was FANTASTIC. To top the surprise, we met a few others that I have ministered to in Kuching, East Malaysia, as well! The food and the fellowship was, or course, just wonderful. We are grateful to Tam and Chan (from our home church and home fellowship in Singapore) who hosted us for the week we were there. After being away from the Philippines for about 5 years it was defintely an emotional time when we met up with about 40 old friends and colleagues. It was a blessing to see what the Lord is doing in each of their lives. Em & Marilyn Namuco, Emmanuel Wong, Jun Diaz & family and a host of others. It is becoming a little exhaustive just trying to remember all the people we met in Singapore and Malaysia.

We have to confess that we failed to meet up with everyone that we wanted to or we ought to. Our time with both Bee Lee's and my parents have brought about a real concern for all their health. Your prayers are much cherished. Everywhere we went, we were blessed by friends and relatives. People are invaluable. We thank God for friends, family members and prayer partners. We did not only minister to different ones, but were also ministered to incredibly through all their love, care and generosity. I have to say that the blessings far outweigh the burdens that many talked about in terms of relationship building. WE WERE BLESSED!!! Indeed, we were blessed and we want to continue to avail ourselves to BE a blessing to as many people as the Lord brings into our path. Praise Him indeed.

A New Awakening

Within the last few weeks many different things have been happening in the city (London) within the country and in our own lives. As we all know that nothing happens out of cooincidence. Its all in the plan of God. It is either His Sovereign Plan or His perimssive plan, nevertheless, it is HIS PLAN (or purpose). Many of us lived unconsciously everyday according to our own plans without giving much thought to it. It is presume upon that because we go to church or because we perform our religious duties than we are in God's plan. Is this correct?

I have met many people who has done many good works and still feel extremely restless, unhappy and unfulfilled. So what went wrong? We are told in scripture (Isa 26:3) that He does give perfect peace to those whose mind (heart) is stayed (remain) on Him.

A semse of peace is somehow the greatest sense of fulfilment (or contentment) for many. However one must always differentiate between godly contentment and complacency. When complacency creeps in God has a tendency to shake us up and wake us out of our sleep.

I guess for the church in the West this "might" be what the Lord is doing? Its a wake up call, its time for a New Awakening. Less we become too judgemental I must admit that I have taken much time everyday thinking about my own commitment and readiness to meet the Lord. Not shakened, just awakened, and it is a good thing.

We thank God for the many thousands who, being awakened, have drawn closer to the Lord, and some have actually accepted Him as their Lord and Saviour for the very first time. For wahtever reason men and woment turn their backs on the Lord they can be sure they can't get very far.
The word of God has a great capacity to discern our ways and to pierce into our hearts and I am Glad. It keeps me from falling and from become foolish.
It would be great to be able to dialogue and discuss as to what we think the Lord is saying to us when things don't seem to go right in our eyes. Contemplation is a great life. A the Lord so desire for us to do that we may know more of Him and His ways. Pray that the Lord will grant great patience, grace and wisdom to know how to best use our time for His honour and glory. GET REAL

Its so amazing to get to meet soooo..... many people all around the world. It does give us a little taste heaven even though the relationship side of things in most cases are less than perfect. It is really humbling whenever we start looking at the failures and mistakes of others to be reminded of our own hang-ups and flaws.
I had a great time in Brunei though it was short and another great opportunity and new openings in Japan, a place called Sagamihara near Yokohama. A new bonding developed and we are glad to be an encouragement to one another and also to those that we minister to.
Back in London the Lord is opening more doors with Asian students and with students in general. I count it a real privilege to be able to share the Lord's blessings with them, primarily the blessings of His good work in my own life.

Right after I returned from Japan my family and I travelled down to Liverpool (Birkenhead) to visit the Logos 2 and to participate in the Logos 2 Celebration. It was great meeting up with many old friends and meeting new ones too. We celebrated Logos 2 and anticipated in Faith for the completion of Logos Hope in the near future.

In the midst of all seriousness I got to read a quote about my middle-age experience and change. This is what somebody wrote regarding middle-age, "MIDDLE AGE IS WHEN THE BROAD MIND AND THE NARROW WAIST CHANGE PLACES". Isn't that true for most people? I am trying desperately to prove them wrong. But it seems like I am fighting a loosing battle. There are certain truths that are dominant. For whatever its worth, I am still praising the Lord.

Lately I have been getting into more and more Anglican churches here in the UK. There are quite a few which are about a few hundred years old. Yesterday we went to one that is about 1000 years old, YES A THOUSAND YEARS OLD!!! And to make it more exciting the church is surrounded by saints that are awaiting the resurrection. That means it looks more like a cemetary than a church. This is the only one like that. We have been to quite a few like this. We understand that it is part of the DIE HARD tradition. What can we say.

Hi Its Me again,

5 weeks seems like a long time away. This is what happened when you start procrastinating (which some people say is "disobedient in slow motion"). Anyway since coming back from Cambodia different things have happened. As its the Lord's ministry for me I conducted courses on Spiritual Discipline & Renewal. In these courses the Lord seems to help many different individuals adjust their perspective on God and also on their walk with Him. It did help some to deal with issues when they willing to be honest, opened and bold in taking a step of faith and to allow the Lord to help them resolve those issues.

The Cambodia trip is is definitely another eye opener and and a reminder as to my responsibility as a Christian to a needy world, esepcially for those who have been exploited, abused and abundant. It is indeed heartwrenching, if is for me it would be more for the Lord who created them and loved them with unceasing love.

My two weeks on the Logos 2 reminded me of other responsibilities. I had the joy of leading a team of 5 ladies (quite daunting) and to watch over them. While trying to listen to their hearts cry I also see some of my weaknesses popping up as I not only agree with their disagreement but got caught up with their anger too.
I realised that I have been chosen to be a peacemaker and not a peace lover for the momemnt in trying to forge peace with those I am with in agreeing with all their misunderstanding and discontentment. How dangerous it is to be easily swayed by feelings and emotions.

On the high note, the Lord never seize to surprise regardign His faithfulness in helpiung me fulfill His calling for me. I went to the Logos 2 with no programme and no speaking engagements arranged. On arrival different things happened and I ended up speaking several times, not to a big corwd but to a prepared group of people. God is Good. I needed to be good for His good pleasure.

Wel;l I will write more when time permits. In fact I am already overdue with my next prayer letter. Thanks for reading and praying. God bless.

Hi Everyone,

Its me again. My time in Singapore, Malaysia and Cambodia was quite a challenging one. The Lord is constantly reminding me of my own walk with Him and my own brand of Christianity. Its great to be challenge by your the message you preach to others. I guess its important to allow the word of God to pierce straight into our hearts first before it can touch others through our lives. I was to speak about Missions in my own church and I entitled it "Thy Kingdom Come". A reminder of the passion of the Lord Jesus how He was tirelessly preaching the gospel og the kingdom and then telling us to pray for His Kingdom to Come and His will be done. An old verse, which was my key verse for life and ministry, was the main focus Jesus told His disciples to have when He said, "Seek ye FIRST the Kingdom of God and His righteousness".

Another church where I had to speak gave me Luke 18:18-30 about the "Rich Young Ruler". The story speaks about a rich guy who seems to be very religious. He probably is a good man who may have done a lot of Good Works and thought himself being Good. He has observed all the commandments Jesus quoted, from his youth and was pretty proud and confident of his own righteousness. He lived by a set of moral code and became self righteous. He is therefore a moralist.

A moralist who is dependent on personal good works can easily adapt to become a materialist. Because he has done good works and don't seem to be doing any major bad things, like murder or commit adultery or still than he has every reason to justify himself for being a materialist in laying up for himself lots of treasures on earth (though richest in itself is not a sin) and forgetting the multitudes that have been impoverished by injustice, greet and shere human wickedness.

I was spoken to very deeply as I was preparing for this message while I was in Cambodia, having the poor right before my eyes. Ps 82, Micha 6:8 (was also part of my reading) and James 1:27 talks about defending the casue of the poor and the fatherless, to love mercy and to do justly, and to have religion that is pure by lloking after widos and orphans. It was pretty loud and clear for me that I am far from what I should be in terms of my faith in God.

I hope to include saome pictures later so that you can see with me and pray with me that the Lord will help us all to have a real pure religion that will know how to use our material possessions and blessing for His kingdom and for meetings the needs of the poor and the destitute.

I am praying about starting a project called "Widows and Orphans". This is to try and bring about an awareness of such needs around teh globe and to know how to practically meet those needs by the grace fo God. Pray with me.

REALITY CHECK

Every single day is a day where our true self is being checked. In regard to work, it's integrity check, in regard to our conduct, it's testimony check, in regard to our thoughts, it's conscience check, in regard to our relationship with people, it's humility check, in regard to our handling of money, it's honesty check. Is this REAL? Am I a man of integrity, a man whose testimony is true, a man whose conscience is clear, and who is consistently humble and honest? This is what I call reality check and its tough because we always have the tendency to cast the first stone on someone else's sin and not our own.

The last few days since returning from the the weekend with student leaders and also with other leaders just last weekend I discovered that we are constantly bombarded with self-righteous attitudes. The devil wants us to be self righteous and accuse everyone else of being at fault. We have the tendency to see the speck in our brothers eye and somehow not being able to see the incredibly enormous log that is in our own eye.

It is a challenge to try to take the log out of our eyes, my eyes, before actually even looking at the speck in someone else's eye. It is however my prayer that the Lord will help me every day to go through a reality check and see my own life in His light and not in the light of my own good works, which are pure filthy rags in His eyes.

God is gracious however and, in that, I rejoice. Thanksgiving for the good of others seems more difficult than thanksgiving for our own self righteousness. It is amazing to see how the Lord still chose to use us even when we have so many hang ups. It is obvious that the Lord is much bigger than all our hang ups put together. Praise the Lord indeed.

Well today is Chinese New Years Eve, but in London it's just another regular day at work. Nevertheless everyday must be a day of celebration of the goodness of God. We must not missed it. Its a miracle!! Every day is. So won't you rejoice with me. Hallelujah!!!

About the Disciple

Its always interesting and challenging to see what others think about the Christian life and in particular about being a Follower or Disciple of Jesus. I am always challenged looking at my own walk with the Lord as I share with others about what I think and how I practice my discipleship. The outcome sounds very impressive and the testimony is always very touching. Of course we all know whatever glorious testimony we share it is not without struggles, battles and heartaches. The overcoming is always a blessing and an encouragement to somebody else. Realistically I realised that I must not only share all my blessings but also all my struggles, battles and heartaches. It is only because of the struggles, battles and heartaches that we can experience the victory. As I have always shared in the past, "There is no victory without battles", "There is no comfort without heartaches and sorrows", "We will not know what is calmness without the storm", So in all the struggles, battles and heartaches I can still rejoice knowing that the calmness, the victory and the comfort is there waiting for me. Praise the Lord.

Last weekend the Lord gave Bee Lee, Debbie and myself the privilege and the joy of fellowshipping with and ministering to, many Uni students. Their enthusiasm and their eagerness to learn and grow gave us new motivation to go the extra mile. Every single minute was worth it, though we may not see immmediate results.

I pray that the Lord will always remind me that it is to His glory that I am doing what I am doing. And I am what I am only by His grace. THANK YOU LORD!!

If you are reading this, rejoice in the Lord with me and give thanks to Him for His Great Goodness. All that I am and all that I have is from Him, and in Him will I rejoice. Thank you for many of you who have been praying for me and my family. Thank you for your partnership.

Challenges

Life is always full of challenges, many unexpected challenges which one has to be ready for always. The Lord is opening many doors but the Lord is also exposing many hidden secrets. The challenge is to first get rid of the unwanted hindrances which was hidden or even harboured. Of course nothing is hidden from the Lord and there is no way we can walk through the many open doors when when we are harbouring and carrying those big hidden secrets. It won't pass through the doors. Its best to get rid of all the hidden secrets before they are exposed. These hidden secrets may not be as bad as murder or adultery or anything like that, nevertheless it is still a barrier for the working of His Spirit. Let's confess our sins and repent from whatever is weighing us down. That's a challenge always.

There are other challenges when things seems to be going right. The enemy is never idle. He is there prowling like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. Praise God the enemy have a false teeth that cou;dn't bite too hard and never hurt too deep. Plus, the Lord always provide the healing. Hallelujah!!

This time the healing is needed for my parents. This is physical healing. My dad is a believer and has been for the last 7-8 years but after a 4 heart bypass operation his health seems to be deteriorating. He tries hard to stand on his feet but its a battle and a challenge.

My mum who is a non-believer is looking after my dad, but recently she has been diagnosed with lung cancer and a collapsed lung. Its a challenge to her to draw near to the Lord and to confess her need of Him and its a battle for her to be able to accept her physical condition.

Its both a battle and a challenge for me and my family to watch both parents going to tough times. We,however, are grateful to the Lord for His amazing grace that is always sufficient for us. The daily grind is never too hard for the Lord to handle and He is always there to help us carry the load.

More challenges are here. The many non-believers right here in London need the Lord and its our responsibility to share the message of hope and salvation to them. Will they accept Him or will they reject Him? It is equally challenging to present Christ as Lord to the believers who may also turn their back on Him instead of turning their faces toward Him.

Will you pray with me that The Lord in His mercy will touch the lives of those He send to us and to those whom we go to in the name of the Lord.

There are still more unseen challenges ahead. We need to be ready for them all. Pray for the Lord to help us to know how to build a firm foundation that will not be easily shaken. Hallelujah!!

Its amazing and at the same time devastating to see what took place in the Indian Ocean. Thousands of lives were lost and no one seems to be able to predict or control it. Life is search that it is so unpredictable. Its all in the hands of God. Our teams in different parts of the world are trying their best to rally to the call of the destitute with whatever they can, unfortunately, our own International headquaters were hit by torrential rain and experience some minor flood. This is somehow a wake up call for many who live lives of complacency and indifference. We had a little discussion as to how we should respond to questions posts by Christians and non-Christians alike regarding the love and justice of God. Its not an easy answer but it is nevertheless an answer we may have to give with much wisodm, discernment and sensitivity. We don't have a definite answer but we must not ignore the question either. Pray for the Lord's wisdom upon His people at this crucial time of need.

I will be speaking to students at Imperial College trying to put the Uniqueness and Sovereignty of Christ in all of this. Its great and its challenging. It challenges my own faith and understanding of God and His Sovererignty.

At the end of this month I will be spending weekend with student leaders and cell leaders. My hope is to be able to share what the Lord has thought me regarding disciple=making and mentoring. Its an awesome responsibility. Need prayers!!!

A BUSY BUT BLESSED CHRISTMAS

I left London on the 06 December for Singapore. Arrived on the 07 and off to Sibu, Sarawak (East Malaysia) from 09-13 December. Had a great time ministering and God was gracious in touching many lives. There were many recommitment and dedication. IT is now up to the individual and the work of the Holy Spirit. From the 13 -16 December I was in Brunei spending time with individuals in the day time and speaking every evening. The Lord seems to give the right message every time according to different people. Brunei has many needs, especially His grace and mercy. Brothers and sisters need a lot of encouragement. It was areal privilege to be given the opportunity to sher God's goodness with brothers and sisters there.

I return to Singapore a day to celebrate Christmas with many from our previous BS group and also new ones from our home church. Its a reminder of God's provision through His people. Our home church has been a real blessing to us and also many friends and prayer partners.

Flew of to Kuala Lumpur on the 18 December, picked up at the train station down town and was driven to Cameron Highlands for about 4 days minsitering to youth and young adults. The Holy Spirit was working powerfully in the lives of many of the youth. We had two other speakers there minsietring to the different age group. On the last evening we had just an open time of worship where many youth and young adults opened their hearts to the Lord in repentance and in dedication. There were much weeping and it seems like the meeting can go on and on. The result was just amazing. We praise God for all that had taken place. Out of the 6 non-believers present 4 made an open confession to receive Christ.

Came down from Cameron Highlands and was joined by Bee Lee and Debbie. Had a couple of days just meeting with and ministering to individuals who were close to us. 24 -26 December were filled with meetings, evangelistic and "Renewal". We had quite a few made a first time commitment to Christ on the Christmas Eve Evangelistic Dinner. One of whom was the MC's father in-law.

We flew to Bangkok on the 27 December and were richly blessed by a Nepali brother whose generosity and hospitality just overwhelmed us. Jack and his family was an excellent host to us in the midst of their very busy business schedule. It was a welcome break for us as a family.

We were back to Singapore on New Years even catching up with many prayer partners and close friends but felt that it was too short. We are sorry that we missed many but we do hope to be able to be a blessing whenever we meet.

Well that was my 4 weeks in December. BUSY, BUT INCREDIBLY BLESSED.
